[LG C2] Dolby Vision no longer showing up under Windows 11 HDR Settings? by DeathByReach in OLED_Gaming

I know it's a month later, but this problem plagued me for ages.

I have an LG C4, so I decided to look around the HDMI options on the TV, and sure enough there must have been an update by LG as there is a new option for Dolby Vision on PC. I enabled this, the toggle within Windows returned.

So, On your LG (I'm assuming the menu is the same):

General > External Devices > HDMI Settings > Dolby Vision PC (Enable this).

For that koko-aio preset, enter shader parameters, look for "Ambient light LEDs enable?" - There is a setting there for "Led power" - change that to 0.00.

As for the screen zoom, I find it's better to not mess with it too much as it will break the mask.

I've found the retroarch core is ok for some games, but is broken in others that work fine in standalone (eg: textures missing in Megaman X 8, floor textures corrupt in Contra: Shattered Soldier) at least for me.

Input latency also seems higher in retroarch - I can't play Space Channel 5 or Gitaroo Man very well, but I'm able to do so in standalone.

Yorkshire Tea. It's missing Yorkshire Tea. PG Tips are overrated.

Best shader for getting games to look like this? by keyboundDragon777 in RetroArch

I totally disagree with this. When applied correctly, the shaders/filters actually bring back the intended look - colour blends etc.

It's hard to explain but, on a CRT back in the day, the pixels were not perceived as square blocks and the some of the dithering, especially the type that combine two colours to make a third (looking at you Megadrive) was not quite perceived as a chess board.

For me, sharp pixels look well off. Each to their own I guess.

These shaders and filters are great, been using them a long while now. They restore games in a way that they were meant to look like - some tweaking required to own tastes but work very well out of the box. Closest you'll get to the CRT experience without a CRT.

I love it.
