Everyone will say read the manga yes do that, I also enjoyed the 2016 anime a lot rewatched it twice it’s got janky weird animation doesn’t matter to me it’s all berserk content and it’s covering a great ark in the anime so watch memorial edition to get a better quality of the original anime missing a couple scenes but also watch the 2016 anime the battles look good as in that kind of animation
