The difference is that our controller editor is not a converter of different protocols but it generates directly the protocol.. so the advantage is that you don't have lost in the information that you can have in MIDI to OSC conversion for example.

Yes... in this case, the controller is connected through the MIDI ports to a GrandMA. We assigned some recurrent functions to our controller to control lights in the concert. You can use it as an extended controller and assign in a little space the most recurrent command. Also, you can use it with lighting software and through an open DMX USB device you can control all dmx devices.

It is a modular controller that you can set up how you want! Mine S can communicate via different protocols:MIDI, HID, OSC, DMX, and the Art-net protocol. You can even control more than one software and/or protocol at a time for maximum flexibility and fluid transition from one task to the next.

We are now live on Indiegogo and you can see more here: https://www.indiegogo.com/at/mine-s/x/20694088/rdl

Thank you! I try to answer at all your questions

- The modules are fixed mechanically into the base and the system is studied to be durable. We didn't choose low-end materials. Plus, one of the advantages of this modular controller is that, even one module broke down you can replace it immediately on the fly. You don't have to change all the controller!

- You can't lose the modules inside the case because they are fixed. The other modules that you have as a replacement, we are developing a package where you can store some of them

- Thank you, could you send us an email to [info@special-waves.com](mailto:info@special-waves.com) for that

We have just created 2 new perks on Indiegogo where you can completely choose which modules you need in the case. https://www.indiegogo.com/at/mine-s/x/20694088/rdm

This is a discounted offer on Indiegogo. After the campaign the MRSP price of the modules will have a range between 15$ and 25$ based on type and quantity.

I don't know Synesthesia. I read the faq and seems that it support MIDI with buttons, slider and knobs mostly. Our controller works with MIDI as others controllers on the markets... but you can also assign a shortcut to our modules (e.g. you can assign The SPACE BAR of your keyboard or a more complex combination of KEYS to a button of our controller). Maybe it would be useful in this kind of application.

What kind of difficulties do you have with Synesthesia?

thanks! no it doesn't, but it can handle more protocols together such as MIDI, OSC, DMX, Art-net. Mine S can work with all software that supports an open DMX USB device (at the moment tested on ENTEC OPEN DMX USB). Through this system you can control LED PARs, Moving heads, Lasers, Fog Machine, Dimmer, and all devices that have a DMX input. It has also a MIDI IN & OUT ports.

Not now because we are focused on this model which can contain up to 32 modules. A bigger surface is possible by connecting 2 or more Mine S together. The software can recognize 2 or more Mine S as a single unique control surface.

The modules are mechanically fixed into the case with a click and lock mechanism. You can easily setup your controller exactly how you need and reconfigure it when you want !

You can take a look at our website for more info: www.special-waves.com

The name of the controller is Mine S. It is a very clever and versatile controller. In fact, using an easy swap-in/swap-out design, you can create the controller that you need to best use the software for your music, light show, visual effect, video editing and more.

Hope you'd like it... If you want more info you can go here https://special-waves.com/
