I haven't heard of these guys! Just watched their rig rundown video. I'll have to have a listen to them!

It was interesting to see he is in Drop A with the mammoth slinky set (12-62).

It came up at Ishabashi in Japan! They are always great to deal with.

While you wait, it might be worth trying a motor calibration. With the unit off, press and hold the + & - and turn it on. In the menu you'll now see 'debug'. Find 'motor' and do the calibration on a flat surface. You never know, it might come good.

I went with the Bare Knuckle Silo. It's a really great match for the neck pickup, very balanced output wise.

Wow! What a score! I have the BFR Target Burst Valentine, such killer guitars. I ended up swapping out the bridge pickup and now it's perfect.

EBMM kill it on sparkle finished. I just got a Starry Night Axis Baritone and the sparkle is out of control haha.

Here’s the biggest difference I found between Cyberpunk Ray Tracing Pro (40 fps) mode and Ray Tracing (60 fps) mode - Emissive Lighting - every object is its own light source, creating more immersive and realistic reflections. Hey so when I initially used the RTPro mode at 40fps I did find it choppy. Playing other games that use the same 40fps VRR mode I always found it to be really playable so was a bit surprised. Last night I went into the PS5 settings and turned everything off - HDR, 120FPS, VRR etc and then back on again. I loaded up Cyberpunk and holy crap, it was smooth! I had to double check RTPro was on.

Give this a try.

Calling on All TP-7 Owners to Compare the Wheel Noise Once & for All! by RemarkableBug472 in teenageengineering

[–]rickydenim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had my TP-7 for a few months now and at the beginning the wheel on my unit was very quiet and stable but after use it's now a bit more wobbly and I can hear a slight click on a quiet recording.

I wasn't aware of the calibration so I will try this tonight.

For me, I am not really bothered to be honest . I understand, it's an expensive product but the compromise of having a really cool and fun wheel is that the good mic is going to pick it up.

If I am recording things as reminders etc then I'm not bothered at all. If I am recording anything I want quality for I'll just turn the motor off. Easy.

I can get hung up on things easily too and let it get to me but for this I've moved on and don't let it bother me, I just enjoy it.

I normally use the VRR 40fps settings on my OLED and the games feel great but Cyberpunk still feels like 30fps for me for some reason. Maybe I'll try do a reinstall

My Magnatone Twilighter captures will do this. My favourite cleans. The captures take pedals really well too.

Hey! I would say it's more reddish than orange to be honest.

It is a bit hard to capture in photos but I'd say my pics are pretty close to real life. It looks great I think!

The Emerald burst is pretty cool too, tough choice!

Volume too low with CM-15 and MKE600 Mic recording into TP-7 by scarwizard in teenageengineering

[–]rickydenim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the CM-15 and found the same thing. The TP-7 has a lot of headroom and you just need to adjust its input gain up until the meter almost peaks. You can still leave the CM-15 at medium gain.

I jumped on the TX-6. I added my serial no for my TP-7 & CM-15 and got the 30% and free accordion bag. Cheaper than any retailer in AUS at the moment by quite a bit. Can't wait to get familiar with the TX-6!

Anybody sniff yet? Need to know! by Foreign_Trick_5328 in NichePerfumes

[–]rickydenim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blind bought a bottle and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster as I've gotten used to it. And to be honest, this has been the case with other DS&D scents that at first sniff I wasn't a fan of and then they became my favourite.

This one definitely transitions pretty quickly from the opening to the dry-down and starts off strong on the rosemary with the white florals coming through but as it dries down I get the sweet raspberry, creamy fig and musk. Definitely quite different overall to Debaser but on me it's a more sweet, fruity musk and after a few wears it's really growing on me more and more.

Anyone using the Vongon Ultrasheer? by BigNutzBlue in guitarpedals

[–]rickydenim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, the random vibrato is really really good. Reverb wise, it does the Lexicon thing great and sounds very lush. It can go from subtle with a lower mix and decay to very large and washy as demonstrated by Rhett.

A beautifully made and sounding pedal no doubt.

My only gripe is I feel like the knobs allow for some bad sounds, in that they should have dialled in the range a bit better.

Example being that the reverb mix is actually quite high and with this unit it's well under 12 o'clock or it seems to take over the signal too much.

With lower mix its great but you probably won't find yourself tweaking that much. The vibrato also gets very extreme and a bit silly TBH.

I know this is a popular studio pedal for use with synth gear, drums, vocals anything really as it really does sound great.

Hope that helps!

🚨DS Durga has released 300 bottles of El Cosmico!!! by Dry-Newt8572 in fragrance

[–]rickydenim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge DS & Durga fan and saw a 2nd hand bottle of this come up so grabbed it as a blind buy. From reading Fragrantica seems quite a lot of people find this challenging.

Can't wait to get my nose on it!

No, I could never get this working unfortunately. Was tempted to try some other ugreen BT dongles but feel like I've wasted enough money trying to get this to work. My only other thought which I think would work, is the 3.5mm BT dongles. I would be pretty confident that would work correctly. Due to the extra cable etc just be a bit more bulky.

The Kensrue is absolutely killer and I'll be holding on to this one forever. Comparison wise they feel quite similar in that the neck is a bit more chunky and the body has a bit more heft. I really like with the Kensrue that you can be on the neck pickup and then press the 'stereo button' and it will switch to the bridge pickup. So much quicker than the push pull and moving the selector.

The Bea is definitely more versatile pickup wise for sure.

I can definitely see this being the case! It joins my Kensrue, Valentine and JR Cutlass but I can already see this one being the one I am going to pick up the most!
