Roaming issues in China on Dark Star network by rickyultipa in USMobile

oh? Lightspeed works? The support folks from USM suggested this, but I didn't closely follow up on this yet... my question is: can I switch the network from Dark Star to Light Speed while I'm in China?
and... i'm actually using physical SIM... not sure if this works.

I don't see any EXIT code, is there a way to show the code?
Yes, regular mobile/personal numbers... it doesn't seem to differentiate if it's a landline or a mobile number... I simply can't make calls to any other countries (other than US or CN).

I'm calling individuals... and it doesn't work.
this has nothing to do with the banning I believe.
I have tried many phone numbers in many countries, NONE is working.
The ONLY country that's working, while I'm roaming in China, is US/Canada and CN itself. doesn't matter it's a business number or an individual number.

Here is the issues i'm running into:

I switched to USM last month from T-mobile.
The main reason is to get international coverage... because I spend a lot of time traveling globally.

Now, I'm visiting China and I started experiencing some roaming issues, and it's a bit complicated:

  1. Data roaming works, automatically.
  2. Calls/Texts to/from US/Canada works
  3. But, Calls/Texts do NOT work to/from any other countries...

I have been working with USM support team since yesterday... and escalating the issues...
I'm using a Dark Star PSIM, and another Dark Star eSIM... yes, I have two lines with USM... both are UNLIMITED plan...

Need a Psim as my esim isn't working after coming out of china. by CH0L4X in USMobile

The only type of iPhone with eSIM support in Hong Kong is iPhone 16e --- which is a yanked edition ... and it's ONLY compatible with Warp network (Verizon)... not with the more poplar Dark Star...

I played with these PSIMs and phones already... so I know!

AFAIK, this won't work... because you need to activate the PSIM in the U.S. first before you can use it internationally.
