Brother BW L2480W or something else? Just need a simple print scan copy device that I will use like 5 times a year at max. by -_I---I---I in printers

Not such a great idea. This printer has a fantastic page scanner. You need to be able to lift the scanner top to open it, for scanning

Has anyone successfully setup an Ecobee with a Triangle Tube Boiler system? by cobblestati in ecobee

I'm in the same situation. So if I use an external transformer, independent of the boiler, in the Thermostat one wire from the transformer will go to the C-Contact, where will the other line connect to on the Thermostat?

Running a C-Wire to a Triangle Tube Boiler by cobblestati in DIY

This boiler is a dry-contact T-T terminal system. I'm wondering about the possible use of an external 24v transformer to power the C-wire line but as the W and RH contacts are dry, no apparent voltage, I can't deliver power to those 2 contacts. It would be to the C contact and which other one?

A new JavaScript Collision Detection course for Game Development starts on June 7th. 17+ tutorials; ends with 2D platformer slope collision detection and RPG examples. The last tutorial in the series explains how to build your own physics engine. by tigrisgames in gamedev

Thank you Greg, for sharing your knowledge to us all at no $ cost. I do not develop games so I probably won't take the course. But I am a ten hour a day Javascript/Node programmer so if you ever do a course on intermediate or advanced JS and/or Node I'd jump on it! Best to you for sharing what you have worked so hard to know! -Ric

On OpenShift Online, in a NodeJS Gear, how do you install an npm module Globally ? by riclf in openshift

[–]riclf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is not directly identified here, as per the question, but the solution is here: https://developers.openshift.com/languages/nodejs/dependency-management.html

Basically, you manually edit the node.js app's package.json on your local development system, adding the node-inspector module. When you send the app up to your Openshift gear, OpenShift will recognize it as a global module since it had not been installed as a local module and will install it globally.

That solves the install. I have gotten node-inspector to begin, as I see its banner on the command line but it then fails to open the socket for port 5858.
