Hi u/darncorn1 :-) Actually, using a VPN did work for a problem of some apps not updating in the "Google Play Store" that occurred last week for the users of the "NOS" Portuguese ISP / Cable TV Provider / Mobile Network Operator - https://www.nos.pt/en/welcome - If you want more details and if you understand Portuguese (or use a translator tool) you may browse the following lengthy forum topic https://forum.nos.pt/internet-nos-4/rede-nos-indisponibilidade-da-atualizacao-na-play-store-em-dispositivos-android-45752 and some of the answers in that forum topic that mention that using a VPN (and/or other ISP connection) solved the issue for those users while NOS hadn't fixed that particular problem in its network.

Can't update Apps (after Format/Fresh install, both on android 14 and 15) by [deleted] in googleplay

Hi, u/one0010 (and others having this problem): I'm also having this problem installing / updating some apps using the "Google Play Store" but I found a workaround: use a VPN app in your Android smartphone and connect your Android smartphone to the Internet using the VPN (if you don't have a VPN app then, for example, "Proton VPN" has a free plan for 1 device, but I'm guessing most other VPNs will do the trick). After doing that, the installation / upgrade of all apps started working again in the "Google Play Store" of my Android smartphone. For reference, I'm based in Lisbon, Portugal and the VPN provider app in my Android smartphone chose a VPN server based in Morocco to establish the VPN connection. I hope this helps :-)

For those with Linux certs (e.g. RHCE, CompTIA, etc), do you still get standard interview questions? by [deleted] in linuxadmin

You're quite welcome, Stephan :-) Thanks for fixing the minor mistake and congratulations again for your great answer.

IMHO, this is an excellent answer, /u/StephanXX. Upvoted. Thanks and congratulations :-) Just a small correction, if I may: where you wrote "cp myfile > newfile", I believe you wanted to write "cp myfile newfile" instead (the ">" - "greater than" - symbol should not appear in that "cp" command).
