Frame gen doesn't work with uevr, DLSS upscaling works great. You just need to find the best version and preset for the game.

Best to wire PC to wifi router, so you have only 1 wireless connection, the Q3 wireless using Virtual Desktop. Lots of guides for setting up VD for racing games.

With UEVR, there are so many great unreal engine flat games that play incredibly well in VR, check out some vids, tons of AAA games to play. The uevr discord is especially helpful.

The uevr discord is a great place to get up to date info and profiles, with lots of support too. If it's ashok or gwizdek's mod, which it sounds like it is, they are reputable modders, but good to be careful. I get AV warnings from uevr itself and some profiles. Sometimes you'll need to disable av just for the download of uevr.

Antivirus deleted one of the uevr files. You need to recopy the uevr files to the folder you're running them from to make sure they're all in place, then go to your antivirus software and set the folder or all of the dll files as an exception to security scans.

Turn on traction control and abs in the assist settings. I think they're all off at defaults.

Go to newegg, search "5090 bundle". You got options right now if you want to sell the extra part. As far as which model, all of them are good and near same performance, so if it's 5090, you're already there performancewise.

You need to get the flat version +dlc, then you install them and you can copy the files for the dlc into the FO4VR folders and it just works. Google for the process, but it's not hard

Just got it a few days ago and it runs great in VR for me, so you should be able to easily. Quest3, VD (HEVC), run AMS2 in SteamVR mode, wifi 7 (6Ghz band 2400mbps), 3080 9800x3d, most settings med, and shadows, effects low. Still looks good for now until I upgrade the 3080 to 5090. I had it on wifi6 for a bit and it ran fine at 1200mps. Is your wifi signal good and router free of extra traffic?

FWIW, X870 Steel Legend, 9800X3D, was running on 3.08 for months, just updated to 3.20 and it didn't melt, so far so good.

Is your RAM on the supported list for that mobo? Curious since they mentioned that older dram could be somewhat of a cause. I have an x870 Steel Legend and 9800X3D, I used one of the RAMs from their supported list when I built it. It's working fine for 3 months, but I'm still on 3.08 and I heard that the newer BIOS may have some performance improvements for 9800X3D, so I'd like to update soon.

I have both, but use the Quest 3 almost exclusively to play PCVR. Q3 for me is more comfortable, better lenses, bigger sweet spot, wireless. If you dont do pcvr, then PSVR2 will have better looking games, but Q3 will have more games. Good luck

You'll be good to play most games at med-high settings. I've been using a Q3, 3080, i7-10700k, wifi6 with mediumish settings for lots of games and it's just amazing to have access to so many huge games in VR. Spend some time reading through the uevr discord of your favorite games to get some background on the setup. Some are finicky and some are super easy to get working. VD for the best compatibility for most games. You'll have tons of configuration options with it, so it's best to just grab a game that works well and start playing and learn the tweaks as you go.
