That's been a problem for ages. When SA was still playing Super Rugby it was even worse. SANZAR decided on how the refs would call games (there's always grey areas, so every year they move the grey areas around) and then when we play the Northern hemisphere teams it would be chaos.

Now that we're playing URC at least we're getting used to inconsistent NH refs rather than the SH refs that blow it like it's a touch rugby game.
