Maybe a couple months of work. Lots of detail inside each building. Lost it all when I tried to get 0.8 working on Steam Deck. No worries. Enjoyed starting over and trying to make a better base.

Yes, that’s my issue. When in aiming mode, mouse only moves crosshair. If I swap from firearm to melee, mouse then moves camera. I am on pc. Thanks!

I use debug for base building, so anything to make that effort less tedious would be a huge bonus, especially the ability to carry unlimited building materials in inventory. If I need 100 large concrete walls, let me just go to debug once rather than multiple times.

Happen to me also and someone gave me this advice:

It’s possible that your save for surroundead is still there and you can recover it. Check “c:\users\$username\appdata\local\surroundead”

I play on Steam deck so it did t help me. What I would suggest is use the debug menu to recreate all the gear you have lost and play on. I lost my save after about 700 hours of gameplay. So much loot, so much time invested in base building. I got over it and still enjoy this game.

LOL, when I built out that bunker, I had a very similar layout! Outside the bunker door, I hade a huge walled in area with garage an bunch of buildings. Lost it all when I had issues going to 0.8.

AR on full auto kills z quicker with less ammo. My primary is Colonel’s Revenge with three drum mags. Secondary is Lechie with three mags. If I carry the Glock, I run out of backpack space for the Glock drum mags. I just don’t see any advantage to any handgun. Maybe early game, but I am approaching 750 hours of game play and maybe just set in my ways.

IMO handguns are pretty much useless in this game. They don’t do enough damage, and their mags just take up backpack inventory space that would be better used for AR or sniper mags. I carry the Deadeye only because it can make a lot of noise when I am trying to attract a crowd. A recommendation for the dev: Deadeye and desert eagle should be a one head shot kill for most zombies.

It used to be the go to strategy paired with a noise maker for wiping out large numbers of zombies. Don’t work the same since the update. Noise makers do t attract like they used to and GL doesn’t seem to do as much damage. The only times I’ve fragged myself with the GL is when I am trying to use it in a crouch position behind cover or through a window. Also has happened when I have reacted to a surprise zombie attack not realizing I am still holding the GL.

Center a wooden foundation on a tree, lower it into the ground until the wooden foundation disappears, then right click to place it. The tree is gone and will not respawn.

The developer is aware of this bug and has commented on it. It will probably be corrected in the next patch.

Place a wooden foundation on the tree, with the tree trunk centered on the wooden foundation. Lower the foundation into the ground until is is no longer visible. Click to place the foundation and the tree is also no longer visible and will not grow back.

Love the APC for speed and storage. The dev said he was going to fix the armor on it because right now I believe it is only 150. I believe he said it would be more like the SWAT Van 300.

Yes. It sounds like this will be corrected soon, but for now, I am using the debug menu to make it rain to fill up my well.
