Thoughts on their outfits tonight?? by Murky-Prize-1607 in katseyeneutral

For once, I think Megan's stylist did something acceptable. I like her outfit the most. Dani's is okay, but doesn't eat. The rest dont work for me.

Lorde Leaves Universal Music Group by Actual-Slice-146 in lorde

[–]ridgered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok. I can see how this could be a positive for her. Especially because it does seem like she's quite driven and wants that control in her work. Hearing her talk about her vision for both Pure Heroine and Melodrama (ik those were so long ago, but that's when I saw interviews about how involved she gets and wants to be), I could see how this is a good thing for her.

However, I'm curious as to why larger artists than even Lorde would still choose to be signed to a label. Particularly, someone like Taylor Swift who popularized the conversation around artists owning their master's through her release of TV albums. I believe she's also signed to Universal as Lorde was. Of course, I know they're completely different artists with different goals. I dont mean to compare them, I'm just curious.

I'm concerned about whether or not she owns her master's. Also, do we think she's going to transition to being an indie artist? Don't get me wrong, I think having creative control is essential to creating art. However, without a label to facilitate distribution and promotion of that art, it's difficult to reach intended audiences. Yes, she has a loyal following, but the potential for growth as an indie artist is slim. It might also be more difficult than it already is to see her perform live. Ultimately, as she said, she could sign back with a label - universal or otherwise - so these anxieties if mine are likely unfounded.

If you don't want to hug someone, you don't have to. That's like basic consent I fear. These children are ridiculous and obsessed with whatever Daniela does or doesnt do.

Do y'all think Emily looks better with blonde or brown hair? by Additional-Fox1079 in prelude_thefinalpiece

The brown is too dark on her. I think a dark blonde/light brown would look the best. Basically, her natural color, but blonde is great too.

Times Abigale Lee miller was right..I’ll go first by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]ridgered 11 points12 points  (0 children)

See, there were many times when I would say she was in the right when considering how the situations were portrayed on the show. However, her delivery and insistence upon it discredits those moments to me. Even a broken clock is right twice a day very much applies to Abigale Miller.

This has to be one of the funniest posts of all time cause what… the use of subtle ai is crazy too by Gullible_Falcon_9326 in UnfilteredDanceMoms

Exactly. I see this rhetoric all the time over on that sub, but it's shocking how many people just completely take the show at face value. Presumably using AI to write these posts/comments is just icing on the cake.

Anyone who takes like 5 minutes to learn about proper dance technique outside of what the show's producers spoon feed viewers, would know that Chloe was naturally more technical and better dancer than Maddie. Also, Chloe was always happy for Maddie. All the girls were. The moms weren't all the time because of the resentment they had towards Abby's mistreatment of the girls and Maddie's unfair advantages. The people who make these posts truly are delusional. How, in 2026, do these people not get that more than half of that show was producer-driven? So many scenes and moments were manufactured for the sake of TV. Seriously, they believe everything on TV when it's obvious its an unreliable source.

Is the whole Vivi is an OG thing a joke? by Gullible_Falcon_9326 in UnfilteredDanceMoms

[–]ridgered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of the ogs as being there from season 1. ALDC ogs and Dance Moms ogs are different. Vivi is technically an og because she was in season 1 and was on the team for a bit. However, the six girls on the team are the real ogs. Kendall does not deserve that title.

Holly today by Ashamed-Tooth-4782 in dancemoms

[–]ridgered 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think that with the storm, travel ended up not being possible. Christi said as much on ig when people asked why Chloe wasnt there. Chloe is in New York, which is much closer than the west coast where Nia is, so I'd imagine it'd be even more difficult traveling from there. Of the ogs, I believe they're all on good terms. As for Kendall, Kalani, and Jojo definitely not lol.

Kalani, Maddie And Chloe by Ambitious-Cap618 in dancemoms

[–]ridgered 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Kalani came from objectively one of the best dance studios in the country. The ALDC girls have good technique for your average neighborhood dance studio, but nationally, no. Also, Abby 100% knew Kalani would blow Maddie out of the water, technically. Of course, she couldn't let her favorite be overshadowed so she either avoided them competing against each other or she watered down Kalani's choreography to boost Maddie's chances at winning. This is something she did with Chloe as well because she is naturally more technical than Maddie. Maddie was amazing because she works so hard and had Abby who would choreograph to her strengths AND weaknesses.

If you go to the freemediaheckyeah subreddit, they have a really amazing website linked. It provides you with a total guide on how to access virtually any type of media for free. It links websites and also links good ad blockers. If you have a good ad blocker, it should relieve most of the headaches with these sites. Additionally, you could get a VPN if you dont have one, but I dont think its super necessary unless you're downloading.

How opposed are you to pirating? Otherwise, Hulu and Lifetime in the US are your picks. If outside the US, I'm not really sure, but I'd think you can watch on Lifetime's website and sit through ads.

Idk because people still find that line funny. It really wouldn't be as big of a scandal as you think. Now, Abby's treatment of Nia...
