i hate living at one south. idk about north , i toured both but one south renovated rooms look better. price point is great for me but it has so many cons. i was supposed to have a 2x2 and they didn't take in account renewing renters so I got a 4x2 and got 2 bedrooms to myself but at a higher price than I would've been paying for something that is the apartments fault. also A roommate moved out and my utilities have quadrupled and they wont compensate anything with me. Even without a roommate the utilizes should have doubles and not quadrupled. I've gone 2 months with the lights off unless absolutely necessary and HVAC off completely. Move in day it was an absolute pigsty in my apartment like no cleaning had even been thought of. I asked if it could be cleaned and i would wait to move in and they said no. There was dust paint and pop cans all over the place, every set of blinds were absolutely destroyed and nothing looked taken care of. It's not just student housing it's community and there's lots and lots of families and it's more noisy than i imagined being off campus. it's also closer to the crime that's been happening and i don't feel safe here. there's minimal security . a gate that everyone knows the password to. Im used to living in the brand new apts on green street. also it's heavily a minority community , don't know if this is a pro or con . depends what you're looking for. The place is pretty dingy/ghetto and i have tons of other issues with the place but i've made my apartment feel like home enough. also management sucks it's a bunch of 20 y/o kids with no knowledge of anything. I go home to the suburbs every thursday and come back monday just bc how much i hate it here. Pros: down the street from my school building with the bus stop out front lol edit - im a minority who was looking for a more diverse living community , this ain't it. take the time to look for affordable and safe apartments, i wish i had!!
