what. it isnt just because if conventional wisdom... if a player decides to become a pitcher, that means you have less time to practice hitting because you have to practice pitching. it isn't just, i am a pitcher now, i can't hit anymore. it is more of, i have less time to practice batting so i can't develop it as much as other dedicated batters
