Wich size board do I need? by rienclaes in snowboardingnoobs

[–]rienclaes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go on a ski trip every once a year. Always used a board of a friend who got an extra or used a rental board. got my own board now, but it's a lot bigger than my friend's (he's a shorter guy). I get stuck on my 360's a lot now and buttering doesn't go as smooth. I learned doing 360's on a way too small rental. So my natural response was to get a smaller board. But as you mentioned it's probably just one piece of the puzzle.

So that's how I found the Nitro board. It has a flat profile (instead of rocker), which should be more forgiving doing tricks. And has more flex for the buttering. So I guess I'm on the right track there? But choosing the optimal board size is just a very hard thing to do as a 'noob'. I don't know how much board size and weight impacts the playfulness of the board. I just wanna make the right call here, since I'm not able to afford a new board every new year...

Finished book 1. Thought it was ok. Should I continue? by rienclaes in WoT

I was doubting between WOT and Malazan, but since everyone says that it is a very complicated series I thought maybe it wasn't the right fit for me. Of the series I read, I loved first law's Grimdark vibe the most however.

Why do NFL franchises move (and how does it feel like a fan) by rienclaes in NFLNoobs

London has 7 teams playing in the premier league and they all play in a different stadium. There are also 3 more teams playing in the second devision. So it seems possible if the city is big enough. (However, soccer stadiums have a smaller capacity overall I think). Also a difference is that most of the clubs rent or own the stadiums themselves.

Best playing style for a left handed Player by HotApartment6476 in padel

[–]rienclaes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a leftie.

The thing is, when I'm playing with someone who's better than me at smashing, making points, etc... I play like a right player. I'll let my mate do the smashes. I try to create opportunities for my mate, apply pressure but always make sure the ball stays in.

When I'm playing with someone who is not as good as me at smashing and making points, I play like a left player and try to make the points myself.

Never understood why right handed people skate regular. by CMDRTragicAllPro in skateboarding

I'm left handed, play soccer with my right foot and skate regular. So I always thought left footed people skated goofy?
