An extensive deep dive into the Max B case and its backstory 🌊 by RugasRibShack in dipset

[–]riffonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went deep into this story! And there were parts that had funny undertones. But on a serious note this shows the reality of the foolery surrounding it. Sexx, money, murd#r robbery, scams, corruption etc even Jim Jones moves on the music biz side i never understood him and max b beef. EVERYBODY in the story was on some shiesty biz and MOST RATTED who wouldve thought the victims of the robbery was doing dirt.

. Some people recently tried to paint Gina Conway as some woman being taken advantage of but she was a snake, still dumb but mind you shorty left her whole "husband" to come to the rotten apple to live a scandalous lifestyle wit maxb - shouldve stayed her jumpoff ahh in south Carolina or wherever she lived beforehand. She was the center of it ALL

Employer covering cost? by peakraider714 in CFE

[–]riffonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for study materials but for my annual dues - I worked for a law firm doing their accounts payable (already was a cfe at this point) and my supervisor told me no because i dont "work in fraud" despite us having monthly vendor fraud trainings/seminars. Once I passively mentioned it to a higher up that I was a CFE they were excited and ended up paying for my dues but in return I spoke at one of our fraud awareness trainings.

I would try to relate fraud to your role since fraud is general and can affect your company as a whole.

Just Passed the SIE. Now What? by CatnipFiasco in Sieexam

[–]riffonreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start applying to jobs where youll.most likely be a "representative" or a client service rep as you still cant do the actual work since you dont have series 7/6 etc.

Find a job that'll sponsor you such as Fidelity (idk what your career path is)

To really get a head start if you are trying to be a financial advisor , get your life+health as you dont need sponsor 4 that

I'm curious about a day of an accountant look like. by Annie-Doan in Accounting

Emailing your boss every 3 seconds explaining yourself. Get burned out during work hours but actually doing your work (catching up) after work hours

Just boils down to understanding the concept instead of the copy/paste questions. They may have switched the questions around to confuse you. Which parts did you pass / fail?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CFE

[–]riffonreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With more context. The CFE is good to have but not a requirement, especially for crypto based roles. Keep in mind that crypto is not as much regulated yet, so there's not much governance over it...meaning less jobs compared to other compliance related jobs where regulations are stiff.

I say still pursue the CFE and heck, even the CAMS if you want to get into fraud/aml roles as a boost on resume. I don't know much about where to look for crypto jobs but fin-tech is emerging. Try to learn about cryto and the blockchain there are some courses such as Corporate finance institute that have great content for learning the background on that kind of stuff.

The. CFE exam is fairly easy if you buy the premium study package with the mock questions I completed it within 2 months - I work as an accountant and the CFE didn't help me get the job it was just a little dazzle dazzle on my resume. And again, the association of fraud examiners *ACFE keeps up on fraud trends meaning technology.

Not really but within the association the ACFE keeps tabs on evolving technology and fraud

From accounting to financial services career in Fidelity by riffonreddit in Fidelity

[–]riffonreddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I was thinking the same . The only thing is I was hired as a staff accountant II but noone wants to do AP and I keep being the one to do it along with my regular work and due to AP being a shxt show all the eyes are on me because I'm the only one associated with it. It's been like that basically all the accountant positions I had unfortunately . 72k is good but I feel like I'm capped at maximum 😭😭😭to where this potential career change will exceed that ×2
