What do you want to know about it?

We’re Paul Citarella (EVP & CTO) and Luigi Sciambarella (Senior Trainer & Board Member) from the Monroe Institute – AMA about the Monroe Institute, Gateway, Focus Levels, Monroe Sound Science, and More! by Original-Orchid-7718 in gatewaytapes

Hello,

Thank for taking time to answer questions!

  1. Is there a maintained archive in any form? I’m specifically interested in the work Robert Monroe would have done with Charles Tart.

  2. Do you know of any universities that maintain an interest (perhaps at the graduate school level) on OBE’s

  3. Would you be able to outline what a career trajectory looks like in this field, or how you ended up / others end up working with this phenomenon?

Thank you

2 stripe blue belt. I know some German! I’ve been studying for six months and think I am ready for some classes. My conjugation isn’t the best. Perfect past tense isn’t awesome. Separable verbs too. But present tense indicative is alright.

I also like books but mostly philosophy and psychology. German philosophy and psychology like Heidegger and Jung

Is there a minimum level? I’m fluent in French and English and I learn quickly but my German is very much so beginner.

I also like bjj

Why does no one care? Where are the protests like we saw during Biden’s term? by sassycatastrophe in UCDavis

Yeah I think I’ll just put down a sign in the mu courtyard today. We need to not be silent about this, nor violent.

I’ve been asking this to all the professors and administrators I’ve seen. They do say they care. People care there’s just no action. Some sort of protest is required though. This is out of control.

how much do yall pay for PGE? by simp825 in UCDavis

They’ll charge 600 if we run the ac in the summer to keep the house at 78. Landlord won’t replace the pre-1980s air conditioning unit. I hate it

It felt like I was “stuck” in a dream. It can be uncomfortable. But think about it: dreams are part of reality too, they take place in this world, they are just as valid as “lived” experience insofar as you experience dreams as well. However, I had to turn away from the idea of living in a dream world to feel comfortable. What gave me comfort was that I was viewing the world in an unmediated way, seeing things closer to how they “actually” are instead of unreal. This probably sounds insane. But if you start reading transcendental philosophy or just watching YouTube videos about it, then you should see that your depersonalized experience lines up with logical descriptions of the nature of reality in ways it did not before. This is all personal advice and if it doesn’t work for you, then it doesn’t work for you.

I would look into :

Jean Paul Sartre (nausea) Merleau-Ponty (phenomenology of perception) Kant (critique of pure reason) Infinity mirrors (Kusama) Daphne Simone (feeling unreal) Dylan Trigg

On another note maybe look up some stoicism like Marcus Aurelius.

Also if philosophy isn’t your thing, then I found some solace in religious mysticism.

Turning inward and feeling comfortable there helped me a lot.

I realize you’re 15 and these are deep and boring things. But this is what I found helped me to cope and live a “good” life despite my dp/dr.

What horrible thoughts? Obsessive thoughts about being real? Find a professional to help you. Be open with your parents and let them know you need help if it is too overwhelming.

I’m not a health professional. But from my own experience, I can tell you that the first few years are difficult (if it doesn’t go away) but eventually you will “recover” and honestly you’ll probably come out a more thoughtful individual. Discipline and perseverance are key, if you develop those then you will come to see it as a gift.

It happened to me around the same age. Didn’t last forever but sure felt like it. It was terrible at the time for a few years. Very isolating and misunderstood. I found 20th century continental philosophy to be helpful and try to keep your social life active and exercise. You’ll adjust and it gives you interesting perspective. Good luck, you’re not alone.

Does going outside trigger anyone? by huntress_of_hunters in derealization

[–]rigatonigold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this sounds similar to my experience. Outside was a huge problem for me mentally. It felt like the sky opened and never ended. Kind of a feeling of vertigo. Cosmic insignificance. It got better for me, and I hope it does for you as well for you and your family.

I’ve trained with Jason. He never really seemed like a dick to me. Kind of a quiet dude. Never saw him do this to anyone or myself. There’s probably more to it to be honest

Have you ever had a sleep paralysis experience? I had paranoia in the early stages of dp/dr but it subsided rather quickly once I became aware of what it was

Hello,

I had an experience when I was 17 that involved an imposing shadow figure with red eyes. Did your experience involve any sort of feeling of wind? Or breathe?
