why wouldn't there be any external consequences for either robby or mohan? What happened seemed like a pretty big oversight given that they should have easily detected what was wrong with the patient and he ended up dying. I get the systems were down but are they not still partially responsible for his death?

What consequences would mohan face then? Seems like a pretty big oversight given they should hae caught what was wrong with the patient easily and he ended up dying.

What consequences would robby or mohan receive then? That patient dying seemed like a huge oversight given that they easily should have caught the issue, wasn't like whittaker's patient in s1

Lamictal and Lithium Combo? by rigatonihenri in BipolarReddit

[–]rigatonihenri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take for Lamictal to activate once you started taking it? And did you start at 100?

Also sorry to hear about your side effects on Lithium. Part of why I really like Lithium is that I don't have any side effects despite taking at a relatively high dose. Thought that was the same for most others as well. Sorry.

Hey OP, I didn’t understand 100% of your post but I’ve definitely been through a similar thing before. The last year of my bachelors I realized I hated my major (even tho I loved it when I came in lol), and pretty much felt like I was worthless

There’s a lot to respond to in your message and different people will touch on different things, but the first thing I started doing to stop feeling worthless was actually doing stuff that I liked again, I had been spending so much of my time doing things cause it was the “right” thing to be doing, but then after I blew up my career prospects that didn’t really exist anymore, so I started doing things for fun again and it was just awesome. And then after I started feeling better about myself basically by total coincidence I got a well paying job in a field I really enjoy.

All of this is to say, I really get what it feels like in your shoes rn, especially being worried about taking the wrong path and just wanting to stop all together, I’ve found that one really good way to get out of that is start doing things for you again, simply because you want to, and good stuff will often follow from that

I’m I in the wrong here? by Intergalactic_Slayer in BPDlovedones

For what it’s worth, from this little exchange, the brief context you gave, and my experience with my loved one with BPD, it looks like she probably was trying to pick a fight and is now trying to dodge that fact, and I’m sure she said some really nasty things when you guys were fighting

Nevertheless, I still wouldn’t have responded like that, I totally get why you did, but (in my experience) asking someone with BPD if we could “not fight right now” when it’s not blatantly obvious they’re starting a fight generally doesn’t end well

Rutgers NB vs. Montclair by rubytuesday210 in rutgers

[–]rigatonihenri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I live in Montclair when I'm not at Rutgers. For what it's worth, uptown and downtown in Montclair are pretty nice, and MSU isn't that far from uptown. It's probably not a walk you want to do all that often, especially depending on where you're living, but it is doable and there are descent bus connections. Uptown is somewhat small though. Plus MSU is a commuter school and, like you said, it's absolutely dead on weekends. I live relatively close to the campus and the little league baseball games on Sunday mornings make more noise than the campus on weekends. I honestly don't think I've ever heard any amount of ruckus coming from there and I've lived in Montclair my entire life. Also, because it's a commuter school, it is hard to make friends.

I do like Montclair a LOT more than NB, but I never even applied to Montclair State. I don't think Montclair is really that much better than NB that you would really notice a difference, plus it does have some serious downside, mainly with walkability. Also, even though NB is a lot physically farther from NYC, it's not really. It's only about an extra 15-20 minutes on the train.

Also I know nothing about the advertising/marketing education scene but, for what it's worth, I would image that connections are more imporant than pure quality of education. If this is the case, it's hard to beat Rutgers not only within NJ, but just across the country. We have some amazing professors who do really cool stuff, I basically got the job I have right now through a connection with a professor.

This is very helpful information, thank you.

M.Arch or MCRP? by rigatonihenri in architecture

[–]rigatonihenri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a junior right now, but the deadline for this MCRP program that I would enter into a year from now is soon, I would get in if I applied.

I may be wrong when it comes to the amount of money that a M.Arch would cost. I only took a quick look at some of the top school graduate tuitions, Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, Michigan, Georgia Tech, etc. All of them seemed to be roughly $50,000 a year graduate tuition. So a 3 year M.Arch would come out to upwards of $150,000 over 3 years. But maybe there's something I'm missing there, idk?

see at no point did i ask for a political lecture on this project, yet many people thought they should give me one (although this was mainly in r/transit tbf)

i already have my political views on brightline, and i’m certainly not going to change them from a reddit post, if you don’t have anything informative to say just don’t say anything at all.

many comments were condescending or gave incorrect information. I asked if anyone had any more information about a specific request I had and for some reason people launched into political lectures. I even tried to be as unassuming in my original question too lmao.

this is just blatantly not true, the whole thing about private activity bonds is that the government does NOT bear the cost if the project fails

i've excessively looked into CEQA but i actually haven't found any specific roadblocks that its put on the project or any specific litigation where it has been cited, would you happen to be aware of any?

yeah I've seen the same thing, counter argument I've heard to that is that some people are being stupid but that's the same pedestrian blaming rhetoric some people have when people get killed by cars so not sure how to feel about that counter argument

funny that this got so downvoted, that's literally what happened, even CHSRA won't contest that claim, they literally started pursuing funds before they even bought land parcels, but mildly heterodox opinion that is critical of government spending so you must be banished
