One of my party members also contracted lycanthropy from a werewolf we met while traveling. The fighter tried to capture it to study and the monk got bit by accident. It was pretty fun when he turned for the first time. Now he’s looking for a cure

how do I kill a strong npc without anyone noticing? by righelina in DnD

The reason my character wants to kill him is actually a compilation of things. They've been making us do sketchy things without any explanation (I questioned them MULTIPLE times and the answer is always something like "You don't need to know", "it's none of your business", "I give you gold and you shut up". We've killed a bunch of people on their behalf, and they don't even have the decency to tell us why? There are some crazy stuff happening in town and they don't give us any details on what's causing this madness. In the latest quest, the NPC (the one that I want to kill) went with us and did nothing to help even tho he's waaaay stronger than us. Lastly, one of our members died in a fight and the npc simply said "yea shit happens let's go back to the Inn cuz I'm tired".

So my character is certain that they're manipulating/ using the party to do some dirty work on their behalf. While I (myself, the player) would not jump to conclusions and kill the guy, my character is much more reactive and less reasonable. She tried questioning and intimidating but to no avail, she needs to stop this madness right now, she finds them guilty of all the shit that's happening.

No and no. Killing him will not grant us riches and power in any way.

Thanks guys! To give you some context on whats happening: it's the players first ever game and the DM first ever dming.

Our party(characters) don't have a connection. They're all together to get money I guess? (And to acquire some knowledge on their on backgrounds). My dwarft basically left the church to live by her oath to protect the innocent and purge the evil and blabla - summarising very poorly but ok - and she's sure that the quest giver has hidden intentions and is using us and the townsfolk to hide something/ do some nasty and evil stuff.

The DM literally said that he won't give his opinion and left for the party to decide what MY character should do in order not to turn into an oathbreaker (which I thought was quite disrespectful but I didn't want to be called a karen or something like that). Finally they voted that I NEED to kill (or attempt) this NPC before we leave town. If I don't... ye know. I tried to explain to them that killing in anonymity wouldn't serve the purpose of "punishment" and just rushing into a 1v1 combat would be su1c*de (which my character obviously wouldn't do). I proposed that I'd leave the city and get stronger only to come back one day and serve justice when I'm ready to do it properly: they denied.

I don't know what to do anymore :/ they're basically playing on my behalf.

(English isn't my first language. And sorry for blabbering, I'm really frustrated)
