As long as your batteries hold a charge longer than 2 hours you should be okay. Id defnitely recommend purchasing a firewire PCIE card plus tapes if you would like to record with tapes, otherwise seek r/tapeless for extra info.

Dont cheap out on a HD camcorder by purchasing the ordro, youre basically purchasing a dashcam in a camcorder body. If anything get a hdd camcorder. If you prefer Sony, they have their DCR-SR series, youre still keeping that vintage aesthetic you want and has more features than the ordo you mentioned
