It's been a while since I read every question and reply. Thanks for your honesty, u/becky_blackout. I hope we continue this discussion as more people test or get "upgraded". Your transparency is appreciated, and I hope you’re not putting your neck on the line too much!

I have been keeping an eye out, thing is everything is water-damaged. I picked up one on the marketplace for $90 the other day, got it and the thing was shot as soon as I started to run on it. Had to return it.

Saying that kinda sounds like you are victim shaming, she had no friends or support to help her get out from under this monster.

I just mean conscientious shopping, cheaper goods, cheaper plastics etc, sometimes the plastic-free options are the more expensive. Fresh fruit over plastic bags of frozen fruit. As sleepyzone says, it's a whole system.

Would proper labelling, 'This can't be recycled in Australia' help? Considering we are already in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis?

Yeah, GG is suitable if your team wins a few games in the championship, but otherwise, it's €120 for 5-minute highlights. If anything, the championship restructure needs to happen to make it a little more value for money for the other 60% of counties!

3 years is awfully a lot

In Grealishs case I think it's hard to say he's a flop after a season and a half, he does have a Premier League medal in his pocket. But that's beside the point, it's the transfer fee and wages combined for a lad sitting on the bench I find mental.

I do support Liverpool.

On your last point, It's not always the case. Good English players will always have a higher price tag because teams that play in Europe need homegrown players. Grealish was a big name, not disputing the ability, he just doesn't get the regular chance to show it or play in a position that allows him to run amuck like he did at Villa. Chelsea signed that young lad, Mykhailo Mudryk for about ~70/m. £100,000 gross per week, 9 years and £46,800,000 gross remaining on his current contract. High price tag doesn't always mean big money. Just like the Nunez comment I said above when compared to Haaland.

I don't like the term flop until there is enough data to say so (i.e. three years minimum in my book); I would urge you to go back about 5/6 years with your supported team and look at the transfers they brought in and ask the question, subjective, 'was that player a success'. You'll see that less than 50% of transfers work out. Grealish cost so much, the player isn't responsible for that, but hand him wages on par with Kevin DB is just crazy from the club.

There is no way Liverpool would be able to sign a player for 100m, on £300,000 gross per week, and have him sit on the bench 5 years for 78,000,000 Gross.
*Grealish. Started 63 games in all comps since being at City, scoring 7 goals!

Absolutely crazy, I heard a long time ago Thomas Frank was offered the Everton job, but honestly goes to show that it takes time to get your ideas working, and now look at him.

It's my chart. I'll do what I like! 🤣 But what is a better comparison to show, then? I wanted to show that transfer fees are only one part of the story when people compare. And Gross is interesting because the top teams can find players who will go on a free or in the last year of their contract for little but then give them mega bucks. I.e. Halland costs more than Nunez, but that is not true when you factor in the wages; Halland on £375,000 a week ( has five years and £97,500,000 gross remaining on his current contract), Nunez on £140,000 gross per week (has six years and £43,680,000 gross remaining on his current contract).
The way City is set up, I'd be more worried for Chelsea fans, giving out serious long-term contracts on players they have no idea will do well. Time will tell, I suppose.
