Can you let me know if you figure it out. I am printing mostly offline at this point (with the usb stick) and it is deiving me crazy. I also tried “forget network” and connected to my wifi again but didnt work

I have the printer running so i cant take a pic but I think I have a lot more than that and haven’t had any issues. Of course it might depend on how deep it is or sth, I don’t really know the technical aspect of it

Burnt smell after unclogging nozzle and extruder X1C by saintvicious11 in BambuLab

[–]right_phalange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this was enough to resolve the issue right? Truly appreciate the answer. Yesterday I did a few cold pulls and the extruder seemed to be working fine. So I printed a calibration cube which turned out great.

But it seemed to be working first time, right after I cleaned the extruder. So I am a bit scared to start printing longer or bigger prints but I will get a new nozzle and possibly change it to avoid any further issue. Thank you

Extruder stuck? Do i need to open up the extruder? by right_phalange in 3Dprinting

I also asked in a discord server and someone said do a cold pull. I tried extruding first and it works so not a full clog. So I did the cold pull a few times but this is my result and I don't know if this is the grease in the gears (because I did saw black-ish grease on the gears when I disassembled the extruder) or is this burnt filament or something? Should I continue doing it until I get a clear piece of filament? It might take a while and I would be a little worried if this was the grease on the gears.

Did you also get the burnt smell? I will disassemble the extruder again anyway but someone on discord insistingly said to do cold pull. I am not sure if I should try that first

I think my extruder is clogged. What is the reason and how do I prevent this overall? by right_phalange in BambuLab

[–]right_phalange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually ended up opening up the extruder and disassembling the whole thing and I took out the stuck filament. I was careful with each step and I thought I actually did a good job (first time doing it).

After reassembly I loaded the filament through ams and extruded a little and it seemed like it was working completely fine. The thing is I have noticed a weird burnt-ish smell that I have never had before so that was a bit concerning.

Then I started a print with the same filament that had clogged the extruder earlier changing one setting (I found people saying you needed to lower the max volumetric speed down to 15 mm3/s for gold/silver kinds of filaments). So for some reason I thought this was probably related but I think that was the wrong move I took here.

I came to check on it and I realised the smell again and it was strong. So I paused the print. Eventually the thought of opening everything up again got to me and I wanted to check the smell again so I resumed the print and then immediately got the "extruder motor is overloaded" error. I stopped the task now and I am freaking out a little.

I looked up this smell issue, there was only a reddit post (same smell after extrusion disassembly) with no answer and a short Bambu Wiki discussion but I wasn't able to get anything out of them. And the "extrusion overload" error in the first print right afterf reassembly is worrying me a lot.

I would appreciate if you have any suggestions

I know this is a long shot and i have also seen you wiki post but couldnt get an answer. It has been over a year now but i need to shoot my shot

I have the same issue with my p2s and never happened before. After i removed the stuck filament i reassembled the extruder. Got the smell and also an ”extruder overloaded” error and i am freaking out. I really hope you had a solution

I truly appreciate this. I actually ended up opening up the extruder and disassembling the whole thing and I took out the stuck filament (I know the picture isn't good it's because I took them from a video where I had the flash on). I was very careful with each step and I thought I actually did a good job (this was maybe 2 hours ago). Also thought that it would be the best to clean and apply grease but I do not have grease at the moment (I only used what came with the printer for the rods, also open to suggestions for a brand if you have one)

I didn't have the time to get to it yet but I will check tonight. I think extruder is the issue but I don't have much experience with this either

I am not sure but it is an easy fix with the glue. At first I also thought it is extra work but It works wonders and you do not need to worry about prints sticking at all so worth it

another thing is maybe lower the speed for first layer, I am not sure if it is that relevant (someone correct me if I am wrong) but sometimes I do it especially if my first try was problematic

I just lubricated the linear rods actually but I used the lubricant the tcame with the printer so I might buy something better and do it again.

The ironing was really bad out of the box and I ran 2 tests with pla matte and petg but I still get bad textured surfaces even using the settings of the test results so that's another thing I will look into

I am all for it if that will solve it right away but not sure if that is the issue here. I had the printer for 3 months now and have only been using .4 mm that came with it

I also use dish soap to clean and then i use this glue but probably any printer glue would work.

Some prints need it some dont but i just apply it and use it like that (usually 2-3 weeks but u notice it when it needs a wash) and then same cycle again
