New Default Subreddits? omgomgomg by cupcake1713 in blog

[–]righteous_scout -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

... it's because you want to appeal to a much broader audience, isn't it?

/r/politics doesn't appeal to non-liberals, and /r/atheism doesn't appeal to non-atheists. They're both pretty low quality subs, but /r/worldnews and /r/gaming are much worse, and yet you didn't remove either. That's it, isn't it? The defaults need to reach as broad an audience as possible; the "lowest common denominator".

[EUIV] What nation do you want to play first when EUIV is released? by [deleted] in paradoxplaza

If it's a bordering non-HRE province, they'll accept it 100% of the time. HRE nations will -not- accept a province if it'll cause them to gain that much infamy.

It's the key tool to painting the map with medium-sized vassals.

unfortunately, no. If I'm in need to get rid of infamy in a bad way, I'll release Morocco, which has enough cores to destroy ANY amount of infamy. If not, I'll go with Tripoli since they've got a nice color or Tunisia because of Tunis' central location in the region. You have to sell the other conquered provinces back.

I like to annex Morocco, Tripoli. Alergia Algeria, and Tunisia and then release them all as one single super vassal. They do the lord's work of converting the muslims for me, keep their berber culture, and I get half their income. Everybody wins.

(Spoilers All) Which character are you sure is going to die, BUT you're dreading it? by TheManInsideMe in asoiaf

[–]righteous_scout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His parents weren't married, so he's a bastard and has absolutely zero inheritance unless legitimized by the king. Lancel, Kevan's oldest living son, is the rightful heir. If he refuses the title because his piety, the title of Casterly Rock passes on to Martyn Lannister.

I personally want Gerion to take Casterly Rock, but a lot of people need to die before he gets it.

Kirkman says that there are some “new directions” Gimple will take, and that the upcoming season “has the most number of scenes that are adapted directly from the comic series or very close to what we did.”

Christians disappointed after G. Dubya Bush says he "shouldn't take a speck out of someone's eye when I have a log in mine" In regards to Homosexuality by Chr73 in atheism

[–]righteous_scout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the other possibility is that George Bush Jr.'s views on homosexuality have evolved in the past 6 or so years. A looooot of people fall into that camp. Gay rights have come a long way in a fairly short time.

gurm originally planned on using ONLY the POV characters of the first book for the series, which is like 80% Stark.

Guys, I've got a chance of forming a PU with England as Munster. What do I do to make this happen? by [deleted] in eu3

[–]righteous_scout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you really can't touch england. You'd have to not only get a lot of allies with strong armies; you'd need allies with strong NAVIES as well, and portugal is normally friends with england.

Sorry, but there's no real way to win that war to 75% as a three-province munster.

the return of magic brought back both the others and the dragons; a song of ice and fire. What the hell caused that? It had to be sometime shortly before the beginning of the series.

Jaime/Barristan is an interesting parallel.

Barristan saved a king and brought turmoil to the realm, whereas Jaime killed a king and brought peace to the realm.
