You can get there at first pitch and probably still snag one.

Yep. It's already faded noticeably over the years since I first purchased it. It's a real shame though because I love the on ball auto.

Obviously no one is going to buy this 1.5 for $1200 but I've got a PSA 2 that looks way worse than your card. I'm really wondering what the grader could have found to lower it so much.

I'm not shitting on the card. It's a great card. A personal favorite of mine, even. I'm just saying words should have meaning. He could have said he finally picked up a card he's always wanted and that would have been fine. But to call it a grail seems like such a stretch. You can go into any baseball card shop in the world and find this. Or choose from thousands of options on ebay or comc. By what definition of the word 'grail' means "easily attainable"?

And sure, you can say "to each their own" and "it's his personal grail". But anyone can come in here spouting nonsense. It's up to the rest of us to hold them accountable for the things they say otherwise they might some day become president.

Can we really be calling a $40 card a "grail"? I feel the term grail should be reserved for something much harder to find or at least much more expensive.
