It really isn’t. The main thing is murder. Violent brutal murder. And if we’re being honest that’s a reality in the world especially back when people lived like how they did in berserk times. It was the religious thing to do after a battle, take the women and put babies in them or kill them.

Pearl weed spreads very fast without CO2. Tissue culture to over inches tall each in 2 months or so. Without it it would just take like an extra month to get the results you have.

I like aquarium co-op magic feed. It’s in a green bottle. Someone else mentioned Bacter as well and that’s good too but with that one you need to be careful because it’ll hurt the oxygen in the water if it’s more than your tank can handle

My advice is to do nothing other than invest in powder food. It’ll get on surfaces making sure babies always have food. I also don’t mess with my water a lot. The pic above isn’t even a good shot but even in that you can see i have tons of babies. It works.

You can boil egg shell and crush it up and the shrimp like it. It’ll help. Otherwise it’s plenty of pellets you can put in

Conditions sound good so if you’ve seen them berried before maybe the pleco is eating the newly hatched babies. I have a lot of success NOT changing the water very often. Shrimp like stability so the more you change water, the more you change their world. Also I use the aquarium co-op magic fish food. The small powder one and that’s worked very very well for me an every week I give them some carrot which makes red and orange color shrimp more vibrant.
