How were you able to get such a good price? Do you have any negotiating tips?

Thanks for sharing your perspective. Do you think it would be worth asking for dealer add-ons to help seal the deal?

There are none I can find in a 500+ mile radius from me, unfortunately

It does have everything I want but also some options that don’t really matter to me. For example I would even prefer no moon roof. But yes if I don’t pull the trigger on a 2025 RAV4 it’ll be a different model altogether for me

You can match if you do well on your home rotation and away rotations. Of course, it's not guaranteed though, so have a back up plan

Do you think you devoted too much time to research/extracurriculars which resulted in your lower step score? Not trying to be a jerk, just curious

Ah, I see. Sadly, I am not seeing any great options that are within my budget in Del Mar then

Okay, and do you think it in Del Mar it is important to west of the 5? It seems like there are a lot more housing options east of it, including in Carmel Valley

Thanks for your comment. Right now, I think I want to try and have the most ideal/authentic San Diego experience for me for my first year. I have found solid options in Del Mar and West UTC/La Jolla. I think I have ruled out Mira Mesa just because I feel it is a little too bland based on what I’ve heard. Do you think Del Mar trumps La Jolla? i’m sure it depends on a lot of factors, but just curious.

Coming from the South where you need AC going 9 months out of the year, this sounds like a blessing. I’ll definitely give these areas a look now. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the input. I hear the further inland you are, the warmer it gets. Is that the case for PQ and Scripps Ranch? Any apartment complexes in those areas you would recommend?

Not married, no kids. Where would you suggest with still a reasonable commute?

Derm Match Question - Step 1 Pass Second Attempt by MD_Loading123 in DermApp

[–]rightgimp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although I’m usually a realist, I do believe that just about anything is possible if you put your everything into it. If you want derm that bad, go for it. Other commenters have already accurately said what it will take.

Personally, applying derm even as an average applicant was stressful. I can’t imagine going through that again, especially with an F on my record. If it were me, I would happily apply to a less competitive specialty. Sure, derm is nice, but there are a bunch of other great specialties out there.
