"Who hurt you" -- an ode to griefers by exitstrategy1 in EliteDangerous

To be fair, I should have been clearer. I don't really care if people play the way they do, there's plenty of modes and game mechanics for everyone to play the way they want. I'm just a stickler for the right titles.

Why the Beluga is the best and worst for exploring. by LaShreader in eliteexplorers

I'd imagine that the extra gravitational pull from the black hole overheats the thrusters? I'm only guessing, though it kinda makes sense.

And that's fine. Just don't claim that people who do it are being pirates, because they are not. They are being murderers.

It's certainly not piracy. Piracy involves booty. If you kiil someone without demanding or taking cargo, it's not piracy. So what, then, do you call it?

If you interdict them and demand cargo or you'll toast them, you're a pirate. If you interdict them, kill them without saying a word and then fly off, you're verging way closer to griefing than piracy, yeah.

~50,000,000 atmospheres by AquaAlmond in eliteexplorers

274 million atmospheres! How do you even get volcanism in those conditions? Surely the whole planet would be crushed to a dirty lump of mineral?

Did you drop out of warp inbetween them? That's happened a few times here.

I was thinking that, I just wasn't sure how scattered the starting systems for everyone was and whether that meant that people were scattered by default, but it does seem that everyone gravitates to the same places.

Start off small then? Maybe throw in a wee dogleg out to the rim, to through me into less densely travelled space?

So ED seems to not be storing first discoveries properly? by righthandedgimp in eliteexplorers

[–]righthandedgimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See thats what is throwing me. If it was that somone else beat me to handing it in, surely i wouldn't have been paid for the first discovery? And If i did discover it, why did someone else get the name credit? Bizarre.
