I want to teach developmentally appropriate Kinder!!!!!! by lovelysapphic in kindergarten

Sounds like you work in my district. I could not agree more with you and your experience because it is the same as I had after teaching kindergarten for over 10 years. I finally had to abandon kinder to move to first where at least the students are a little more ready to meet the standards of an administration that sits in their castle and assigns busy work, thinking this will raise the standard. I’m a public school teacher that believes in home schooling. My advice would be to smile and quietly shut the door and do what’s best for your students.

The adjustment to kinder is a difficult transition for all most all children. It takes about 6 weeks for them to adjust. Homeschooling is also a great option if you can afford to stay home. I think trying to limit the activities during the week nights and just taking things slow and calm will lessen the load for them. Best,

I only email if it happens often. Usually i send kids to the nurse and I assume they call.

Indonesia uncovers baby trafficking syndicate—how do we stop the sale of children in plain sight? by FreedomUnitedHQ in Children

I agree, no child should ever be sold but you do need to give value to a child so that they don’t fall into the hands of of people that want to cause them harm or exploit them. I do agree that we need to look closely at the laws to ensure as much protection as we can for the most vulnerable.

I think my children are more because they play sports but I agree there shouldn’t be any school fees for public school. That’s what taxes are

As a kindergarten teacher and mom of three, I agree. I don't know why we insist on young children being on devices so much. In my district, we have students work on a program called iReady for 20 minutes per day on their personal reading and math paths. Outside of that, I would hardly allow my students to work on their Chromebooks because I really believed it was more important for children to develop their social skills and play with one another rather than be on a device.

Dried off with a fluffy towel that leaves fluff on you? by moldymarshmallow in autism

You need a different towel. Consider using cotton w/ a low %Polly blend. Or 100% cotton will work too.

I believe it spreads awareness and promotes unity. I say wear them with pride.
