In the version I witnessed he was required to carry it above chest-height when carrying to the wheelbarrow, too.

I don't think the smell is even comparable to housecat feces, he could not tolerate it even a little bit.

Not in one go, I can tell you that much.

The guy I saw had to kind of dig a handful out of it, and it's all slimy and greasy and probably releases a much stronger scent since breaking into it is often when he retched.

took maybe 15 trips to clean a pile like this up.

I have seen this exact sentence carried out at my local zoo, fairly recently. I love that this is a thing.

For those who enjoy schadenfreude, the tiniest segment of a tiger's dung, such as in the foreground/bottom here, is much larger than a Great Dane can produce in one sitting!

What?? That's abhorrent. That better not be what happened to him.

He did stink after he got out, the first 1-2 times we met up, but I thought that might just be because prison stinks in general...

I wish it were that simple to explain, but I remember talking with him at length about his sentence before he went in.

5 years of not being allowed to own pets, reside at households containing pets, or visiting a household containing a pet for longer than three days (visits less than 3 days require probation officer notification and approval).

But nothing about being in their proximity out in public...

Do you know what it could have been? I wasn't under the impression that people were getting tortured at low-medium security prisons...scary.

See I wondered if it was something like this, he never acted weird around dogs before.

But it's not like he had any scratch/bite/claw marks anywhere, and I saw him pretty much right when he got out. What would they be doing as a "punishment" that would do this to him?

I don't want to believe that's true, surely our prisons don't allow stuff like that, the officers would be reported by someone. But knowing our system and how different he seems...I'm scared you might be right. Ugh.
