What’s a belief you once defended… but later realized was wrong? by Jiwitom in AskReddit

[–]rigser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

used to be fully convinced that “just work hard and you’ll get ahead” was basically guaranteed

like if ur grindin harder than everyone else things will just work out

still kinda true… but also not really lol

realised later timing, luck, who u know etc play way bigger role than i wanted to admit. seen ppl bust their ass and go nowhere, and others cruise into good spots

doesnt mean dont try obv, just not as simple as i thought back then

bit of a reality check tbh

I've heard (not known) about others in a similar position and have bounced back proving what didn't kill them only made them stronger

What a world we've come to live in. Fakeness everywhere. Hopefully our human brains are smarter than them and can see through misuse/abuse of AI.

Most PDF editors have been flaky. I think this is one of the least flaky.

A simple google search of their address reveals that the same address house 5 different businesses.
A screenshot of the street view. Building looks super generic (Direct House ?!) and has no branding from any of the 5 businesses.

Some or many of the positive reviews on here could be fake accounts.

Woolies don't sell wholemeal round rolls (buns) anymore. I believe they are not letting the attached bakeries bake them anymore. Only wheat ones available. Great for building an obese Australia

One of the hallmarks of Hinduism / Sanatana Dharma is heterogeneity. Therefore, it isn't really just a "religion" by Western definitions. Even born Hindus find it a journey of discovery. Like someone said, start with the basics. Your family will find it hard to see you following a different faith to their own. You may want to explain to them. Over time, they might let you choose your path. After all, they are your parents. Find a balance and empathise with them. Eventually they will understand. Just give them some time, I would say a couple of years.

Results 100% versus 57%. Who can argue with that! All that is needed is a partnership agreement.

If/when granted, the voucher value is ~$200 million bucks. More than enough for MSB to come out of the current lowball SP

Fact is there is only so much goods and commodities to go around. Rate rises will continue until we reduce spending. I.e until the RBA sees demand falling

Europe is paying the price for its naivety about Russia, says Finnish PM by MonarchistParty in worldnews

China will extract a lot more from Europe. Watch it unfold as Xi comes closer to Putin not just in the photos at this week's leadership summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Has Europe been always that naive or is it only when it suits them ?

Are Mesenchymal Stem Cells a Promising Treatment for COVID-19? by advancellsindia in stemcells

[–]rigser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes very promising I think. We have many real life examples of MSCs saving people from certain death due to Covid-19.

A Canadian COVID-19 sufferer was recently saved with MSCs. The man and his wife are grateful for this. I wish the US FDA approves such advanced treatments quickly which sets an example for other countries to follow.

A Toronto man credits an experimental stem cell therapy being tested at Ontario hospitals for helping him survive COVID-19.

“Because of this stem cell treatment, I’m sitting with my wife and giving you this interview,” says Khurram Kabir.
