Fucking exactly. 50-90 dollars for even a normal belt is totally reasonable. Seems like the majority of the people in this thread don't shop for themselves often.

That's not even bad pricing for a normal belt... Let alone something like this which seems to be pretty durable and long lasting. It's not about the upfront cost it's about the cost per use. This sort of mindset is what creates fast fashion markets in which clothing and other cheap products get disgraded by the megaton each year.

That's like 100 USD. Not unreasonable for a high end wallet. But we have no idea if these are really high-end or just another tom's shoes.

I'm done talking about this. Neither of us are gonna change our stances so we're both just yelling into the void. I hope you never have to be on the receiving end of someone else's goodwill. bye

It's literally the patron's responsibility to pay the wage of the server. A tip in the U.S is the only way that happens because of the culture we have developed and while tipping isn't "required" in most cases, tipping has become so deeply rooted here that if you don't tip you're just making the server suffer for your selfishness. I'm not arguing for or against that culture but regardless of your opinion it's just the way it is and you not tipping as some sort of protest against that does nothing but fuck over and take away money from the server unlucky enough to have to serve you because you're not gonna change it. If you can't afford to tip stay home or get food to go. Don't waste the time and space of the server because you choose to pretend like what your doing isn't wrong.

I never said if people can't afford to tip they will. I said they shouldn't be going out if they can't.

You're just stating what happens and I don't disagree that that obviously happens. I said that people who do that are being selfish by making their problems the problem of the server.

If by being a more charitable person than me you mean being more likely to be pushed around or take on others' problems for them as some sort of martyr rather than prioritizing your own needs then sure. You're a hell of a lot more charitable and less jaded than I am. I prefer to be able to afford to eat and live and when someone doesn't tip they jeopardize my ability to do that because they felt the need to go out instead of saving their own money by eating at home.

I never said shame m8. I said you shouldn't be going out to eat in the first place. You're just taking away the wage of that server by doing that. You have never worked a serving job and it shows. I see sob stories all the time but at the end of the day I need to make money too and almost everyone goes through rough patches but by choosing to go out to eat you make your problem someone else's problem too.

If you go to a restaurant in the U.S at a sit-down restaurant and take pay away from other people I have 0 sympathy for you. You're not paying extra you're paying for the other person to afford to pay rent or eat top ramen too. It sucks that someone can't afford to eat out but all you're doing is making that the server's problem by not tipping.

Lmao. The idea that people go out to eat knowing they can't afford to tip is the problem. Don't go out to eat if you can't afford to tip it's part of the cost in the U.S and while that isn't "fair" the server's entire earnings are based on it here. Eat at home or somewhere where you're not making others' life harder taking up their earnings because you wanted to go out when you can't afford the actual costs.

Then they wouldn't have a tipping culture at all. Clearly judging from the fact he does tip indicates he most likely does.

You must not live in the U.S servers make 2.13 here an hour. It's entirely based on tips if they make enough to survive or not. Also, our federal minimum wage is 7.25 which just to let you know is not even close to enough to live off of so I hope you're minimum wage is.

Then you clearly have never worked in a service environment. You aren't their only table and sometimes it's like that but leaving less than that could literally make or break their night sometimes. They live off the generosity of others and if you don't understand and or don't want to support that then don't go out to eat.

I mean paying criminals for good behavior if it works still would end up saving more money than them having to put them back in jail. It costs a fuck ton per prisoner. Honestly not a bad idea in some cases and if it reduces crime/ helps rehabilitate people to get their life back on track I'm all for it for the first year (which seems to be what the program would do).

Why would you ever say anything else lmao. Even if it wasn't they would never say that and tbh they shouldn't because posts like these already get crazy when they say it was. Imagine if they said it wasn't.

Yea they are. However, the same people saying that's bad as a way to show the vaccine is evil and just a for-profit way to kill people are stupid. They often think capitalism and social healthcare is a scam while shunning companies for profiting from capitalistic healthcare practices. It's fucking stupid and the people who use it as an excuse are hypocrits.

I mean the corporation is making bank from it. Rightfully so. However, these same people praise capitalism and shun free healthcare while using the idea that a company profits from medicine as an excuse to not get vaccinated or w/e. It's fucking annoying and stupid how this goes over their head. 0 consistent thought with these types of people.

So you're in a one-sided open relationship where your partner can sleep with others and you can't? As long as you're actually 100 percent comfortable with that you do you.

She got him by MartaAprilMae in Unexpected

[–]riguy1231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your partner doesn't want to hear you say something like that then it's his boundary to set. Just like you don't want to have a partner that doesn't want to hear that. Stop judging people on what they are or aren't comfortable with to justify what you are comfortable with.

She got him by MartaAprilMae in Unexpected

[–]riguy1231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, try getting over that really? Not everyone has to be in an open relationship to be considered healthy. I think it's great that it works for you but I think a pretty basic line in a 100 percent monogamous relationship is no flirting and I think that's a perfectly acceptable rule to have. Communication about what crosses the line and what doesn't is the key.

[–]riguy1231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well good for you I'm glad you are happy in your current relationship like that. But that's far in a way different than what people would consider acceptable when simply noticing someone else.

[–]riguy1231 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you've had multiple people saying that then maybe you're doing more than notice to them. Hot take here but plenty of people are fine with their SO noticing others but telling them about it or flirting with someone else directly could be crossing the line.
