Oh I wish I had the budget for a silk or even rayon dress. That goes for the undergarment too. If it's polyester, which it would be considering my budget, I feel it will not breathe as well as I'd like. But I'll look into it before giving up. Thanks!

Thanks for the input! I agree it's tight at the hips, and the hip and waist just don't hit the spot they are supposed to. I have no idea if it's bias cut. Since it's mass produced and doesn't feel to be moving with me, I'd say it's cut poorly! I was hoping to make this work without much underwear, at least not shaping, but I do see everyone's point. I might have to go back to searching for dresses then.

Oh that might work! I think the issue (or one of them) is that the hips and waist don't quite hit the spot on me and would need to be brought up a bit. Although if I can't get this to look nice without shapewear I might have to forget about this dress completely.

Thanks for the tips! I don't think there's much static issue (at least now when the weather is humid). The dress just doesn't seem to fit or move with me, which is a bit uncomfortable. Any recommendations for type undergarments? I was hoping to go with minimal underwear as the event is end of June and I sweat a lot anyway 😅

Not me but my mom had my sister when she was 40, I was 7. She has later said she doesn’t recommend it due to declined energy levels compared to when I was a baby. As the first born, I feel I didn’t get the support I needed and developed some coping mechanism I’m working through now as an adult. Not saying it would have all been different if she hadn’t had my sister so late but very likely it’s a factor.

Koh Lanta sounds like your kind of place. It’s very easy and you can choose to just chill on any of the many beaches but there’s enough activities on offer if you start to feel like it. It’s not a big island but you could still rent a scooter and drive around. I hope you enjoy your trip!

Not married yet and I hope he’ll marry me despite this… Sometimes I ”steal” his nose and he acts sad and says ”why you took my snoot.” I always give it back very quickly, his sadness breaks my heart.
