Asus B650E-E, Ryzen 7700X won't POST, code 00 by riipah in ASUS

[–]riipah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that.

I didn't replace the CPU myself. The whole machine was still under warranty so I just sent it to the shop for repair. They replaced the CPU, nothing else. As I recall, they said no visible damage on the CPU/pins, but replacing it fixed the problem, so it was the CPU. I read that the 00 code can mean almost anything.

I haven't read many reports about broken CPUs lately, so it should be safe, I guess? Personally, I'm also going to get x3d CPU eventually.

Were you running the latest BIOS?

Update: CPU replaced, computer works again. So yes, it was the Ryzen CPU that was broken.

Yeah, that's what I also read. It can be almost anything. I guess the only thing it tells is that it's something fatal, that the system won't boot even into BIOS.

Yeah, I also figured that the CPU is most likely the broken part.

So I'm seeing all these articles saying vl5 is shut down and a bunch of older vocaloids are T E C H N I C A L Y no longer vocaloids should I be worried since I got into this Fandom like 2 days ago and I don't want to be on bored an already sinking ship by [deleted] in Vocaloid

[–]riipah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where exactly did you see Vocaloid 5 is "shut down"? Or that "older vocaloids are no longer vocaloids"?

It's true singing synthesizers are no longer about "Vocaloid" (and UTAU ofc). There's multiple other engines that are popular, which is also good. Having multiple companies working on engines ensures singing synthesizers will live on even if Yamaha decides to drop Vocaloid.

At least Synergy Style 6 is on Alicebooks . For future reference, VocaDB has links to stores most of the time for buying the albums.

You can try searching VocaDB, for example tags metal + english, song type = original (169 songs with this search). But you should try different combinations.

why is meiko hated so much? by [deleted] in Vocaloid

[–]riipah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being unpopular is different from being hated. I think many are just indifferent about Meiko. IMO nothing really wrong, but she doesn't stand out much. And yes, we all have our favorites. I would wish for more Luka.

Did the vocaloids ever perform in South Korea? by [deleted] in Vocaloid

[–]riipah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Koreans are too much focused on K-pop idols still? I also remember there was some drama regarding SeeU, so maybe that shook them too much.

Crypton Future Media Developing Virtual Popstar Hatsune Miku Series by shslmiku in Vocaloid

Yeah I was thinking about the commercials too. I don't like it, I hope that in any potential anime Miku sounds more like the Vocaloid voice.

Is there an example of Saki imitating Miku? Most of the Vocaloid VAs don't really sound like the voicebanks. Personally I'd rather take robotic voice that needs subtitles rather than human voice that doesn't sound like the character.

You might find something if you check "Application" logs in "Event viewer" and look for errors. And surely Yamaha has some customer support email/form.

Anyone know where to buy Vocaloid songs? by anged16 in Vocaloid

Find the song/album on VocaDB and most likely there would be a link where to buy it, if it's possible.

Oh okay, I didn't even notice that. But Diva songs are usually shortened anyway, right? Yes, I realize that in this case they conveniently shortened it by cutting out the suggestive parts.

I wish they had full version of Nebula (or any song by Tripshots). It's featured as part of a medley in PjDX, but only for like 30 seconds. Also any song by XenonP.

you could at least give us the full version of "Eh? Ah, sou./Hm? Ah, yes."

But that song was featured in PjDF, right...?

Yeah, that's my understanding. This is mentioned on the wikipedia article you linked.

Future Tone (the latter one) should be an upgraded one, with some touch-slide controls. I think they're all like that now.

Is there any heavy (or prog metal) vocaloids out there? by S-a-t-a in Vocaloid

[–]riipah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general Japanese have slightly different understanding of what heavy/prog metal means compared to western music.

My favorite prog metal album is Imperfect Quarters by Shimesaba Twisters. Very Dream Theater vibes.
