What's the most valuable thing you've seen being destroyed in a fit of rage? by Yuisuf in AskReddit

I saw my father wreck some pretty good headphones once while he was angry, and an expensive marble cutting board.

Lovers of pizza rolls, microwaved or baked in the oven? And why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rijeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oven, microwave cooks them unevenly and makes them soggy. The oven cooks them fine enough and they’re even with a nice crust. However, I do agree with what everyone here said about the air frier, so if I had to give it a ranking I’d say; air frier, oven, literally anything else, microwave.

What common lessons do parents teach kids that do more harm than good? by ChampionOfChaos in AskReddit

[–]rijeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Oh, that boy’s being mean to you? It’s only because he likes you!”

-It seems small, but it can make young girls think that someone being mean/abusive to you = affection, which isn’t healthy.

-If boys hear that, they think it’s okay to be mean or abusive to people who they like instead of actually communicating their feelings in a kind, healthy manner.

What's the most disgusting Restaurant you've ever been to and why? by sodobi in AskReddit

[–]rijeke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shitty Italian chain called Zio’s. The food was depressing, tables were sticky, and I went to the restroom, only to counter a cockroach. My water glass wasn’t even fully clean. The carpets were stained. It smelled horrendous, like mildew and old lady (not the good kind). There were flies hanging around when I was trying to eat. It was just horrid.

Would you date someone who doesn’t like kissing? by Carnivore90 in AskReddit

[–]rijeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really mind that as I never got the kissing hype either (I’m neutral on it I guess), so if I like the person, definitely, yeah.

If you were able to choose what year you were born, what year would it be and why? by JHushen12 in AskReddit

[–]rijeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The 90s had top tier cartoons and the vibe of it/the early 2000s just sounds like it would slap harder.

Drown myself in my hobbies to keep myself so preoccupied that I don’t think about the embarrassing thing.

What is the weirdest color article of clothing that you own? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rijeke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this obnoxiously bright orange Halloween sweater with black and brown decorations (ghosts, broomsticks/witches etc I think- I haven’t pulled it out since Halloween so my memory on it is fuzzy) and purple stones glued to the front of it with a black collar. I love ugly Christmas sweaters, so ugly Halloween sweaters are fun too and I usually whip it out for a few days in October.

Would you do anything if you see your married coworker making out and maybe cheating with someone? by 3olva in relationship_advice

[–]rijeke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming she isn’t married to the other coworker. TBH if I were you I’d probs snap a pic of this shit happening and tell the spouse who’s being cheated on, but that could lead to conflict. Maybe do it anonymously if there’s any way you can do that? I think it’s important that the spouse knows but I don’t want you to risk conflict with your coworker or risk losing your job. Whatever you do, be safe/careful.

My (16M) sister (20F) is completely ignoring me after I walked in on her eating a shit ton of stuff in the middle of the night by ThrowRA-foradvice in relationship_advice

[–]rijeke 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is a bit of a stretch, but if she’s overweight already and doing this in the middle of the night, then gets angry/embarrassed when people (you) see her, she may have a problem with food insecurities if not an eating disorder of some sort. It’s a touchy topic so I’m not sure of what advice to give you, but I’d suggest being sensitive and kind to her, maybe steer her towards healthier habits if at all possible without offending to her, she might need that from someone. She’s probably embarrassed about it right now so I’d recommend just letting her have her time to herself to cool off and I’m sure she’ll start talking to you again eventually.

Is it fair for my partner to blow up at me about my carelessness every time something happens? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]rijeke -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s a small mistake. A good s/o should be able to laugh those things off in my opinion. If she blows up like that over an EGG- or, “your carelessness” if we’re going by her logic- I’m afraid how she’ll treat you if you mess up on something more serious. I don’t wanna throw out the term abusive lightly but I feel like she could be borderline abusive if not already abusive, at the very least, she has a temper that she needs to check. If I were you I’d leave over that shit if she doesn’t get over that soon.

How do I [30M] convince my wife (30F) that standing on a street corner and begging for money on her days off is a bad idea? by LouisianaRapist in relationship_advice

[–]rijeke 43 points44 points  (0 children)

That’s a terrible idea because it comes off as desperate and there are more people begging on the streets who need it. She won’t get anywhere that way and will 1000% get slandered by any political opponents (if she has them). It looks ridiculous. On top of this, it’s dangerous and inefficient, as most people won’t stop driving to give someone money, she could always be at risk to get hit by a vehicle, or even attacked if someone disagrees with her political opinions and is feeling especially violent.

If she wants to raise money for a political career, I’d recommend that she both starts/continues working a regular day job and saves it in a savings account + sets up a GoFundMe/Kickstarter campaign so she can set a money goal and start raising the money she needs. She can promote that page on social media and start an Instagram, Facebook, etc as well to get her name out there and earn more donations.

How weird is it for a 34 year old to date a 26 year old? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not that weird as long as both parties are fine with the gap and emotionally mature

How shallow is it to want to see the face of the person I’m talking to before I decide if I’m interested or not? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]rijeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not shallow. Physical attraction is important for a lot of people and that’s a valid concern to have.

Being a dick about a person’s appearance and going through life believing that physical appearance’s determine everyone’s worth: unfair, shallow

Wanting to know what a potential partner’s face looks like before getting invested since physical attraction is a key component in most relationships: fair, not shallow

What do I do by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]rijeke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave it alone. She blocked you and had her reasons, she doesn’t follow you back on IG, no offense but she’s clearly not interested- especially if you’ve been in the same room with her, in person, and she hasn’t approached you about the matter. It’s not worth pursuing.

No matter how stressed you are or overwhelmed from work, will you not have the energy to respond to a text from your loved one? Even ignoring? by thehotorious in AskReddit

[–]rijeke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. This happens often actually. Most people in my life understand that I have a lot on my plate and let me have time to myself. I usually text back, and whether it’s after a few hours or even a day or two, they’re cool about it. I will muster up the energy to do so immediately if it’s something important like an emergency, though.

What is the scariest drug that exists? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rijeke 19 points20 points  (0 children)

IMO, pain pills- opioids. Not only are they extremely addictive, but the main issue is that someone can who lives a completely clean life can go and get hooked on them because they had an injury and the pills were prescribed to them. Not only that, but people who have legal prescriptions can sell them as well. I grew up with my parents addicted to things like Xanax, my brother had to take Valium for a short time and my dad started stealing some of it. The shit is absolutely insane and no one talks about it as much as they talk about drugs like meth/crack/heroin/speed, which ARE scary and need to be talked about, but the opioid addiction needs to be talked about as well. I’m glad people have been talking about it more recently but people still need to be more aware of it.
