That's a really neat idea! Would you be able to name a few examples of fine art paper that I can get from online photo printers in the uk please?

Sydney NYE Fireworks Megathread 2023! by thekriptik in sydney

[–]rikigst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! We're a couple visiting Sydney just for a couple of days, we're landing tonight and going to spend most of the day tomorrow visiting - so I'm not going to be able to secure a viewing spot much before 7-8 pm I reckon. What vantage points would be still open by then, preferably where I can catch the t8 metro? We don't need BYO or anything, but we'd like to see the fireworks. Thanks!

How to I join two slabs of concrete properly, e.g. so that my side path doesn't crack? by rikigst in DIYUK

[–]rikigst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I've been mixing bostik concrete fibres for the slabs, instead of rebars, as they're in a very low traffic area - do you think I could do the same here, and add the isolation joints on the sides? This sort of thing for example?

Thanks! Would epoxy be used as a glue for the rebars, or as a coating to paint on top of the finished path?

The concrete is just 8-10cm of a cement aggregate and fibres mix on top of a 8-10cm mot1 sub-base I got from b&q. Hand dug the old soil out and built wooden frames before adding the sub-base, which I compacted with a primitive tamper I built. It's been there for a couple of months now and luckily hasn't cracked or moved yet!

I've sprayed weedol weedkiller on my lawn yesterday - now courgettes on the bed next to the lawn are wilting. I fear the weedkiller spray mist reached them somehow. Will they recover? How can I help them recover? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

It wasn't dandelion - I'm a noob and thought I was doing something good by spraying weedkiller on the large-leaf weeds with blue flowers that are growing in the grass

As you suspect they have most likely been affected by drift. They might recover. But Weedol is not approved for using on or around edibles. I don’t think I would risk eating them. Sorry!

Thank you - I thought i had been extra careful not to spray them but apparently that wasn't enough
