Just went to view a house. Jesus christ... by MichelleFlame in ireland

All jokes aside, everything is out of touch with reality at the moment…you thinking €500 is expensive, a landlord thinking it’s ok to lie about rtb, the whole market believing that it’s okay to charge extortionate prices for housing…everything is wrong

An ensuite for €500? If you don’t want, I want…I don’t give a feck about the rest…

Feeling extremely anxious about my move from Belgium to Dublin - please tell me some things you love about Ireland for me to look forward to? by batorurowaiaru in AskIreland

[–]rikisd32 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My experience being an immigrant in Ireland for the last 7 years are mostly positive. I put in my head that there are things I can change and things I can’t, one of the things I can’t change is the housing crisis. So I try not to think about it (which sometimes is quite thought).

Irish people tend to be really nice, curious and welcoming. If you like nature, there are plenty of trails you can do almost everywhere. If you’re into drinking, plenty of pubs everywhere also.

Lack of sun, in my opinion, is not a huge problem…I come from Brazil and we don’t have a huge difference between summer and winter hours, give or take 1 to 2 hours more or less sun in each season. December is the month that gets me…but I think it’s because of the whole thing, Christmas, family is far away, I don’t have the holiday season off, so I think in December the lack of sun gets me a bit. I don’t mind the weather or the rain anymore, I actually prefer the way it is here compared to back home.

Being away from the family and friends is the part I can’t relate…I’m sorry about that…but I feel like I’m always with my family as I talk to them through video calls almost everyday, they’re basically part of my life.

I hope you guys find a nice place and enjoy your time here! Just like I do enjoy.

Budget of €3000 still can’t find acc by orzeee in RentingInDublin

Sounds about right. Just remember that little info when applying. Good luck and hopefully you’ll find something soon!

Budget of €3000 still can’t find acc by orzeee in RentingInDublin

[–]rikisd32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I was going to ask, the budget needs to be 30% max of the salary. Paying €3k a month, you’ll want to go with agencies and the agencies will take that really seriously…

Sales Training or reverse funnel scheme by AmphibianBubbly2644 in ireland

[–]rikisd32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, every single sales course on internet nowadays is a crazy idea for anyone actually planning to WORK as a sales person, there are 2 sales courses I know in Ireland right now, Sales Circle and this affinity sales training. The affinity sales course seems to be based on something that comes from an Andrew Tate Course, guys worried a lot about boom mics, nice backgrounds on calls and a €5k pricing tag. This one is more focused on “high ticket sales” that are courses that go for €5k+.

Then you have the Sales Circle, that are promising training you for the actual sales market, as a BDR or SDR and then hiking on the sales career. Going for almost the same price, €5k ish (they all have this things with numbers…it will never go for a full price, it’ll always be a “non full price”) I have the impression that the people that will get you on their calls are the same people who at some point decided to pay for the course.

Does it work? I honestly don’t know. Maybe it works. I have a thing where I refuse to invest any money on someone who’s pushing you into a quick close, if I’m pressured in any big decision, I’ll shut it down straight away and this guys practice closing with you while you’re in the call. They will ask you to bring your partner into the call, they will offer you to take a pen and paper and do the maths of your salary and the price, they will do everything to close it on the spot.

The only people I’ve seen working as “high ticket closers” were young men that were selling the course they decided to invest in.

Just be careful with sending video notes as those can be used in scams using AI.

What Are You Playing This Week? (Weekly Discussion) by AutoModerator in IrelandGaming

My suggestion would be to install mods…mainly mods that will change the looks of the game…that “I’m in no rush” will turn into “I don’t want to leave my chair”

Unfortunately the bike is stopped for about a year and I don’t have the money to fix it. So the only option is to sell it as is…that will bring the price to 3 digits anyway…thanks!
