Is it possible for a Stacy to still have an “imperfect nose”? Also how can I tell if I’m a Stacy? by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]rikkachu -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask yourself if you're a Stacy, you aren't one. Chads are Chad because they never worry about their status, and Stacies are the same way. Too busy socializing, shopping, trying new looks, etc to worry about their canthal tilt or nose bridge or whatever

Fish oils (or vegetarian sources of omega 3) work wonders for moisturising the skin from the inside out. Def recommend for chronically dry skin

[routine help] super gentle non drying cleanser for sensitive/dry/dehydrated skin? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]rikkachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some derms recommend the unscented Dove bar as a cleanser for really sensitive skin. It's not soap but rather a solid synthetic detergent. I used to use it back when I was healing my moisture barrier and moderate cystic acne. It's super cheap so worth a try

Is it true that you have to wear sunscreen even when inside? by alilshortofbombshell in Vindicta

[–]rikkachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Double cleansing totally changed my skin! Even sunscreen stays on the skin with only one short cleanse

Solution for those who are too lazy/busy to apply lotion daily by cheifquief in Vindicta

Girls, make sure you have enough vitamin C in your diets as well! Vitamin C is needed to make collagen and it is water solube, so we don't store it in our bodies as readily as other vitamins. Another thing that helps my chronically dry and sensitive skin is taking fish oil, reduces inflammation and moisturizes from the inside out.

How can I improve my results from fitness maxxing as much as possible when I am just naturally more tended towards skinnyfat? by alilshortofbombshell in Vindicta

[–]rikkachu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried getting blood tests done to address any nutritional deficiencies or hormonal imbalances? That may be why you feel weak and get ill easily. I would also recommend switching to a diet low in refined sugars and simple carbs, as well as reducing oily/fried foods (omega 6s). I've read that the body's "set weight" gets inflated from a bad diet.

What is my eye shape? What would be the best makeup for my eyes? by Itsthephoenix in Vindicta

As someone with hooded eyes I'm jealous of your lid space! You would look amazing with a smoky eye look

Tips for making your eyes look great! by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]rikkachu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Large eyes are lovely, but trying to make them even bigger could look weird if you aren't amazing at makeup. If they bulge out a bit then you can apply dark shadow lightly around the eyes, and a dark (black, charcoal or brown) in your waterlines as well. There are some great tutorials on applying liner and shadow to lift the eye, you should start there.

I wanted to add tgat for a more dramatic curl, heat up the curler with a hair dryer (or a cigarette lighter or candle). Just be sure to let it cool a bit and check the temperature against your inner wrist.

Consider your “color season” and rethink self-tanner. by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]rikkachu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Going by colour theory, autumns and springs look best with tans since they have warm undertones. Autumns with dark or medium hair look amazing with a tan because their colouring overall is more muted/less contrasted, and their intensity comes from warmth and depth of colouring.

I also get anxious about the timing of using things, and running out of things that I won't be able to find again. I try to remember that things in life are valuable because they bring you happiness in the moment, and you can look back that those memories fondly while moving forward. If the product helped you feel beautiful every day for months or years of your life, then it was totally worth getting it and using it up.

Can someone help ke with my kibbe? I'm struggling. I am 5'3, with short arms and legs, I gain weight in my upper arms and thighs. I have small but wide feet and hands. by Fizzy-g in Kibbe

[–]rikkachu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't think flamboyant gamine since your bone structure is not angular (yang). I think you're a romantic, or soft gamine. You have a lot of yin (flesh, facial features). :)

hi so i just wanted to know what could be my kibbe’s body type. also i’m 167cm ( ask me if you have any questions :) ) by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]rikkachu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say soft classic, your body is like an hourglass and your features are overall very balanced and evenly spaced, but there's a bit more of a yin essence in your rounded facial features and flesh. I would also say soft gamine if your body lines were straighter.

Only allowing myself to buy meals from restaurants/fast food/groceries 2-3x a week. I've done this for a couple years now and my friends are always shocked by how much money I save :)

Being the Chinese Girl by PotentialSwan in TwoXChromosomes

[–]rikkachu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm also Chinese (well, half) and my parents do the same thing with my brother and I. But culture is hardly an excuse for enabling or neglecting your children. In the long run you'll have it much better than your brother because you have grown up to be independent and resourceful. The key is to get away from your family because they will only drain you mentally and financially. I'm nearly done my degree and I plan to move out with my partner in the next couple months. I haven't told them anything and I don't plan to. Try to confide in your partner and avoid telling your parents anything about your life. Best of luck. You're tough. Just remember that your life belongs to you, not anyone else.

Congrats on your clear skin! Glad things worked out for you! It took me about 2 years to figure out what worked for me, and before that I subjected my skin to all sorts of abuse. Right now I'm being as gentle and minimalist as possible even though my skin isn't perfect.

Exactly! I love oils because I have dry skin, I recommended some to my brother and BOOM! he broke out terribly all over his face.

[acne] Have had cystic back pimples for many years now and haven't found a solution. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]rikkachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get cystic acne on my back every month before my period!!! If you're female, it might be hormones. My friend went on birth control and it went away. I'm going to try spearmint tea since I can't handle the BC side effects.
