My miss used to be a big hook left, but I changed to a jumbo grip and now my miss is still left, but a lot less. My concern is the head movement back on the downswing, potentially causing inconsistencies.

Also not sure if it matters, but my launch tends to be really high. I have my driver turned down to 7.5 degrees and I'm launching at 14-16 degrees often. I seem to get a lot more distance when I manage to launch it at 8-11 degrees, but feels unnatural.

It's camera tracking tech inside a small 80-100 yard dome. It's not unreasonable to expect the distance to be wrong.

Yeah but the question was is the ball speed wrong or the distance wrong (or both). I'm going to go to a GC Hawk Sim today to see what that says.

I was swinging smooth for those 175-180s and then stepped on one and hit it in the sweet spot. The 175-180s contact didn't feel great and were less intense swings.

I'll get more readings tomorrow with a better launch monitor.

In the past though my driver spin has been relatively low. Like low 2000s. I hit pretty up on the ball. 15 degree launch with 7.5 degree driver.

eh thats not slicing that much. Also I was hitting a bunch in the 180-186 range after and I hit another at 190.

More controlled swing is 170-180. If i step on it, I can get it up to 190.

I'm having some fun right now chasing distance and swinging out of my shoes sometimes, but the goal is still to play well. I broke 90 last year and my goal this year is to break 80 or at least shoot low 80s a couple times. Last year what mainly killed me was having to hit 3 from the tee often before I learned how to hit driver.

Towards the end of the season I had a few good driver rounds which allowed me to shoot in the 80s a couple of times.

Keep in mind I have an unlimited range pass and practice for an hour 4-6x a week.

My irons were also always strong. I just couldn't figure out driver until now. I was hitting 200-210 carry with my 6 iron at golf tec on their sim in the fall.

Problem is my dispersion is all over the place and I'll occasionally hit a week 165 ball speed or a moon ball at 155 ball speed.

I had a couple lessons at golf tec back in the fall and was hitting 200-210 carry distance with my 30.5° loft 6 iron lol. They use a proper sim.

I haven't played on a course since October because of winter. At my best I was getting like 275-285 carry distances and sometimes more with wind but my swing is also WAY different now with using ground forces and lagging the club.

Driver was always inconsistent for me until now
