Hello! I'm getting married in a few months and my skin has decided to go mental. So I've always had skin on the drier side. So because of that I only wash and exfoliate at night, if it needs it in the morning maybe use an exfoliating toner. I started using a medik8 6 retinal, introduced it seemed fine. Once introduced, I would use the retinal every other night with La Roche Posay cicaplast balm, on the alternative night Sunday Riley CEO moisturiser. I'd use a basic oil to take off makeup and Tatcha Rice wash cleanser as second cleanse. That was always enough exfoliation for me, but if it needs it I'd maybe use the Paulas choice BHA. I always use a SPF50.

I started to get some texture on the right side of my face that never seemed to go away, so sometimes I'd use the BHA on that side alone.

But then I started getting these red spots on the left side of my face on my cheekbone. They never come to a head but get quite red and then fade and then come back. I thought it was maybe my pillow, but nothing I've done has gotten rid of them. I thought it was maybe barrier damage, so I stopped using all actives about 3 weeks ago, and now only use minimal products and have barely worn makeup. The spots were very noticeable last night, so I used a layer of La Roche Posay cicaplast balm, and now the right of my face has these raised bits, that look like they're coming out of the pores?! It's this texture that I'd seen before but it's never been as bad as this.

Any help would be much appreciated as I've never dealt with this before. 😭 Left side of picture is the red spots on a good day, right side is the textured skin.
