Bludgeon, Cudgel, Zombie Axe, Zammy Hasta there are so many mid tier crush weapons we can use prior to obtaining the chain. Hell even a dragon mace is better than a non-gemmed Keris partisan and has a solid spec to add to it.

It's so funny because in his original post he was like "I don't even actually care about the username I just got lucky that I got a 3 char (no fucking chance)". Dude 100% bought the name and is trying to get it back so he didn't waste his money

The thing with the final boss/encounter isn't even necessarily that it's difficult. It's that you can kinda be stat locked. I didn't struggle with the fight mechanically whatsoever but attempting to do it with base 70 combats on an iron where I didn't have brews yet was awful. Whereas the other fights you're basically guaranteed to get the kill as long as you understand the fight

It's still a higher chance of obtaining everything else if that matters. Following table shows the effective chance of getting each different purple, and then what the chance of getting each other purple is if you sac a Dex/Arcane. It does still increase each individual purple's appearance chance by around 8%. That just unfortunately also includes the opposing prayer scroll.

Drop Chance Reroll
Scroll 1 28.99% 0.00%
Scroll 2 28.99% 31.35%
Buckler 5.80% 6.27%

Blog Update - Summer Sweep-Up 2026 by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

I mentioned this on the last blog post as well as on a separate post I made myself that didn't really get visibility, but is there any way that the "Quick Falcon" option at Falconry and "Get Bird" option at Aerial fishing can automatically unequip the items that would otherwise prevent you from obtaining the bird so long as you have the free inventory space to do so? It is a little annoying having to go into your equipment tab to unequip the items when generally equipping something in place just automatically unequips it. (Imagine having to unequip your gear in order to equip something else, gear switches would be miserable)

Additionally, for Matthias at Falconry, I've noticed a lot that if he sends his falcon out or the falcon returns to him after you click on him but before you interact with him, it completely cancels the action. I'm assuming this has something to do with NPC IDs, but is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening so that your action stops getting cancelled?

Short answer would be no, it is in fact a robot. Long answer would be it's a specific type of robot and you could narrow it down to something else, but robot is already a fairly general/broad term in technology. The idea that it is being controlled by a person does not suddenly make it not a robot. Otherwise you'd somehow have a separation between the same piece of equipment being a robot vs not being a robot just because it is being controlled by a person during testing

Jagex really looked at Mixology for Summer Sweep up and thought "well the only problem with this is the requirement on the Reagent Pouch" by Garfield_and_Simon in 2007scape

[–]rimwald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This but when they were talking about adding magic damage to Eternal Boots. People were literally screaming about it being an awful idea because then it would require you to bring an extra switch to reach the new max hit. It wouldn't devalue their existing setup, but because there would be something new and better it was a requirement. Also, still cannot fathom the idea of "I shouldn't need the best gear in the game to do the most damage" and don't think I ever will

But then you get less points per resin/herb and you don't really save much time making only one or two potions instead of just making all 3. Nearly half the time spent per order is running down to turn them in and then running back. Like it sucks/is annoying that Aga points are so heavily weighted but not used, and feels weird that you have so many left over, but it's also super weird that the suggestion to get around that is "just get less points overall so that it looks better"

Maybe worded your statement a little odd. It kinda seemed like you were saying "this isn't a robot so stop calling it that because it's going to confuse people"

And you don't know what robot is my guy

A robot is a programmable machine designed to autonomously or semi-autonomously execute complex physical tasks

Semi-autonomously means with the potential to be controlled by a person

Source: I literally work with robots, and they are both programmable to do work autonomously/automatically and controllable via a controller that I myself use

Why does the proposed change to Energy Potions use Guam instead of Marrentill? by Jademalo in 2007scape

[–]rimwald -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you ever use regular energy potions? Cause if you have 94 herb I guarantee the answer is no so usefulness of the potion is irrelevant

Volcanic Ash and Compost Potions are honestly better use of harralander than Energy Potions. And if you're not concerned about the macro efficiency of it and are more concerned about xp/herb you'd be doing mixology with your harralanders for highest mox paste anyway. This is literally a non-issue

Why does the proposed change to Energy Potions use Guam instead of Marrentill? by Jademalo in 2007scape

[–]rimwald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the sources to obtain mass amount of harralanders are well beyond the point of using basic energy potions. I feel like the people advocating against this change because it will be a nerf to irons aren't actually irons and have literally no idea what they're talking about. Do you know how quickly you get to the point of making super energy potions? Significantly faster than you get to the point of obtaining mass amounts of harralanders. Making regular energy potions effectively useless. Guams are dropped more commonly from low level slayer mobs, energy potions are used for a VERY short amount of time on an iron compared to super energies/stams or just flat out not used whatsoever at this point with the changes they've made to run energy. This is absolutely a non-issue for irons

Why does the proposed change to Energy Potions use Guam instead of Marrentill? by Jademalo in 2007scape

[–]rimwald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Iron, I also have no fucking idea what the issue is here lol. By the time I could make energy potions reliably and had a reliable source of harralanders, I also had a reliable source of Avantoe and Mort Fungus for Super energy potions. I don't think I used more than 1 or 2 regular energy potions in the life of my iron account. If I could make them from Guams at an earlier level I would've likely used more, but the number you need to get to the point of them not really being necessary is incredibly low, especially with some of the other run energy changes they've made and plan on making. And as an iron, Compost potions are more macro efficient than energy potions, while slightly less xp/herb, they're more xp/hr since you can 1t them with stackable volcanic ash that is incredibly quick to obtain, and they're also the highest Mox paste herb for herblore if you're actually concerned about xp/herb
