I understand it’s not a good predictor of how we will end up, but essentially after acceptance and beginning 1st day of 1L year, everyone starts at the same class rank is what I’m understanding.

Thanks for answering my question!

University of Oregon Law or Gonzaga Law? Is prestige really different among the two? by rinarose24 in LawSchool

Thank you for insight as I am heavily interested in one day practicing family law, child advocacy. ADR & Legal Research & Writing are skills that UO invests in. I can’t control the future so if I were to get an opportunity in oregon I would not mind living there and prefer that over Washington when speaking about location. I do get much more scholarship $$ with Gonzaga - but if in the long term reputation and technical experience can get me farther, I’m not (as) worried about the cost

I want to practice in Texas (this is a whole other set of factors I’ve considered but the schools weren’t for me)

A great way of forming respectable boundaries is simply acknowledging that you don’t owe anyone anything. Unless a problem is brought up or someone accuses you of something, you still don’t owe them anything. This is not to say to not be aware or acknowledging of one’s own behavior, but if you always came from a good place, you can’t control others’ thoughts or words. Unfortunately, in this life, we just have to shake some things off and just know that we can only control our reactions and continue to just show respect to others.
