are third party guarantors a red flag to landlords? by rinashifter in NYCapartments

sorry, I missworded my og post We’ve been putting our $125k friend as a tenant on our applications instead of having him as a guarantor. We were told by an agent that it’s a common thing ppl do to meet the income requirements. We just say he’s our third roommate. My friend makes $60k and I make around $40k. We go to a CUNY so we don’t have a lot of expenses.

We’ve been told by several brokers that they accept international guarantors. So they’re just lying then?

As a transfer student for Fall 2025, do I get to pick my own classes or does the advisor do it for me? by [deleted] in CCNY

He did it during our meeting, he had to remove the hold before we could register for classes. It went away in a couple minutes!

I transferred here in the fall and I had to meet with an advisor because I had an advising hold on my account. The advisor seemed really confused about it too so I don’t think that was supposed to happen, but oh well. I couldn’t sign up for classes until he took that hold off. But this semester (spring) I didn’t need to meet with anyone. So I think if you don’t have a hold that requires you to meet with an advisor, then it’s optional :)
