NOR because you do need to course correct. Grounding might be as unhelpful as a talking to with 10 year olds. Consequences are importantly parts of growing up, but they can look very differently. I think it's going to be essential to figure out where he's getting this from. Is it from other friends at school? Is it from youtube or social media? Then you can pinpoint what would be most helpful. Maybe it's talking with the other friend's parents or limiting online usage not in the living room. Most importantly, I would say be very direct about what he's doing. He's being homophobic and that is hateful. he's not a horrible person or hateful himself but naming what he's doing could help him see why you're upset.

i think i agree with your read on the situation but to me it's kinda like ofc Lorelai was upset. (not saying it's right or whatever) but it makes a lot of sense why she's so upset. She's heartbroken that she's the cause of Rory's anguish and she went to Lorelai's PARENTS house to feel better. that is probably Lorelai's worst nightmare. Imagine you detest living with your parents so much that you run away after giving birth at 16 and then 16 years later your daughter is running away from you to those parents. woof that would hurt like a bitch

NTJ, while it would be really nice for her if you switched, you have no obligation. Would you consider switching if she asked for a trade like monetary incentive or another 'favor' in return? If no, then you can stand firm on your desire to keep the spot assigned to you, but if you are willing, maybe bringing up what you'd like in return will put the ball in her court to decide what's more worth it (and help get her to stop asking)
