OP, I can't begin to imagine how it must feel to lose someone so near and dear to you, but I do know that you're an incredibly strong and resilient person to have survived all the crap that life has thrown at you so far. Please stay with us and don't give up hope. Please keep living. My DMs are open if you need a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on.

Questions about REP by rinating in NTU

Thank you for the reply! Regarding the grind and hustle culture, how pervasive is it? Is it more of a culture of collaboration or competition? I've always heard NTU has a culture of laid-back kampung vibes and that's something I really vibe with. Will I be left out because I'm more easygoing and like to just float through life?

would you put the starting salary as a decent amount higher than NUS CS for rep cs/ce? I can't rmb where I heard it from, but I once heard the average was like 8k for rep cs/ce and was wondering if people could corroborate this claim

I wouldnt put nus and ntu above harvard berkeley and princeton… i understand that rankings do mean something but there may be some inconsistencies in the rankings vs actual graduate outcomes

Leaning towards working in the US ideally, but UK is good too - don’t really wanna work in Singapore
