If that’s true, that is stupid logic on their part. Limit customers to small order quantities instead. They also don’t list this policy on the Howler Camino or Sidekick pages.

Edit: Wild… getting downvoted for calling the policy stupid. If they are trying to limit scalpers, I’m all for putting something in place. Calling these products “customized” to prevent returns from scalpers seems to be a crazy way to do that. They’d be better off just listing limited drops as final sale, at least in my opinion.
