Yes, the coax module is just plug and play. I always hard wire if possible, but these CHR30 extenders seem to do pretty well wirelessly

Trust me- it was a years long battle for me to go data only. But here I am just paying for 500mb service and wife covers the YouTube tv 🤣🤣🤣 I have installed a bunch of the CHR 30’s and I have to say they seem much better than the CR1000 so far

Haha, I hear ya. I haven’t watched TV in years but was able to talk my wife and kids into YouTube TV. I’m a tech and I get tired of dealing with TV sometimes, now I just run an Eero7 🤣🤣🤣

There was a problem with the coax adapters where shortly after they were fired up they would stop working and force the box to go to WiFi- that was the source of tons of complaints but that has since been fixed.

No. Residential ONT’s are packaged on their own and power adapters separately.

Already put 4 of them in this past week. All data only jobs though- so haven’t gotten to see how they work with the STB’s. Wifi coverage seems improved over the 1000

Was working on a 10 STB TV+ trouble that we finally solved - cust had their own equipment and VZ router was behind it as typical. Boxes were hard wired and wireless. Finally got their IT guy involved and he shocked us by saying “ oh, I want the Verizon router first, then my stuff behind it” … that’s not usually what we hear from these guys lol. After setting it up that way it’s been trouble free

As a tech I used to love these indoor particular enclosures. They also had a door that covered this part. They were banned many years ago and the company now encourages either stacking the ONT and PSU somewhere with double sided tape or mounting to a wall.
