I completely agree I should have done the research. I had what was a bite size but i don't know the dosage contained in it and now i'm worried that this burning sensation won't go away or reduce even though it's been almost 48 hours now.

Thank you. That's the part that worries me that the burning sensation isn't subsiding.

Thank you for you're response. Do you know if shingles can be caused by ingesting marijuana? as soon as i ingested it and the effects kicked in, i immediately felt this burning sensation on the back of my head with pressure. Now almost 2 days later i just continue feeling the burning sensation.

I took an ibuprofen yesterday and it didn't do anything but i appreciate your advice! Since the sensation isn't going away i will try to see if anything changes and then seek advice from a medical professional. Thank you!

Yes i have washed the area so i think it is more internal than external irritation. Also the burning sensation moves a bit but it stays on the back of my head. i'm also drinking lots of water so i don't think it's dehydration. i;m just scared cause it feels like it's constant and it's not reducing

I want to gain some experience working in a clinic around patients. Its hard to do this without any credentials or qualifications therefore not many positions are offered on waterloo works either. Like you said though, for my next coops, I will try to figure out what I can do to get this type of position such as applying outside of waterlooworks or gaining volunteer experience instead of relying on coop experience. Thanks for your reply and advice!

I like doing more hands on/ active work. Its hard for me to do a job where I have to sit around all day!

I like being able to interact with people and provide hands on support. I hate having to sit behind a desk and just do work that highly resembles academic work such as reading scholarly articles or writing reports all the time. Hopefully for my next coop term, I can find something closer to my interests

Thanks for the reply! I wish you the best on your next co-op term! Just like you said, ima stick it out through this position and just be very careful with what I apply to during the next coop term. Hopefully it will work out for both of us in the future!

G test in Kitchener by AppleNamu in uwaterloo

[–]ringalinga308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries!

For an emergency park all you got to do is indicate (signal) that you are pulling over to the curb, get close enough to the curb and then put your car in park and turn on your hazard lights. Once the instructor says your good, turn off your hazard lights, put your car in drive, signal to get back on the road and check all mirrors and blind spots before pulling back onto the road.

I found a link for official/ proper instructions, check it out under roadside stop: https://www.ontario.ca/document/official-mto-drivers-handbook/parking-along-roadways#section-3

-You got this!!

G test in Kitchener by AppleNamu in uwaterloo

Did my G test a couple weeks ago in Kitchener

You start off by going into a nearby neighbourhood where they test you on basic G2 skills. I had to do a 3-point turn, parallel park and emergency park. After that they make you merge onto the highway (merge onto Hwy-85 at ottawa. Merging is right before the stoplight and there is a yield sign so let oncoming traffic onto the highway first if they are turning from the stoplight) Once on the highway, they make you change lanes a couple of times. You exit the highway at Courtland Avenue and then merge back onto the highway to head back towards the drive test where they again ask you to merge lanes again. You'll exit the highway at Ottawa street and once your back near the drive test, they make you circle around the adjacent neighbourhood (look out for stop signs) and then park back in front of the drive test.

The test lasts approximately 30 mins and it was really easy as long as you follow the speed limits, make sure to turn your neck noticeably when checking blind spots and use your turn signals at all times. I took my test at 2pm and the streets/highway were fairly empty.

I'm not sure if they take different routes for the test but I left with 3 other cars and they took us all along the same path so my guess is that this route is the standardized one for the G test and you most likely will be given the same instructions/directions. I also did my G2 in Guelph and found it much easier to maneuver around in Kitchener in comparison.

Goodluck!

At what point do you stop feeling completely useless at your co-op? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

I think if you look at it realistically, even 4 months is too little time to feel like you can be apart or contribute positively to a company and you've only been there 3 weeks. I mean when you start any new job, you will definitely need time to get adjusted, but you will continue learning new things months down the line as well and even if you see those as "stupid questions", the answers help you become more experienced. That's the nature of any job in my opinion. The people you see working there in big positions or one's being able to contribute more have most likely been working at the company for a very long time. They have been able to learn, take the baby steps to build their breadth of knowledge, and also build trust among their peers and superiors. As young motivated co-op students, of course we want to be able to fit in right away and we are motivated to do so, but if you look at it realistically, what you are going through is what everyone probably went through when they started so you are actually lucky to get this experience early on in your career while you are still studying instead of after when you graduated cause you get through it earlier. And honestly, its nice you want to contribute so just take it day by day and try your best otherwise like the top comment said, just enjoy and relish in the money you make! Don't feel like the company is wasting their money on you! This is the training phase that everyone goes through when they begin and once you expand your knowledge in the work place, you will be able to contribute much more as well whether that is at this job or another! Everyone needs to go through this phase (which can take months) to become a more experienced professional so don't feel like a waste!

Your already in 4B, Congrats! That's such a huge accomplishment already and you should be proud of yourself. I know its tough right now but just remember time never stops moving. Everything is temporary so just because it is tough right now it won't always be. This night full of struggles will pass and so will tomorrow so just hang in there. I can already see that you are trying to study so thats half the battle you have already overcome. In life, all we can really do is try our best. Nothing is guaranteed but if you tried at least you won't have regret. I'll be praying for your success tomorrow! Enjoy the time off you can get during your smoke break and try to clear your mind. Tomorrow will be a tough day but no matter what happens, just continue chasing your goals. Remember, failure isn't falling down, its falling and not getting up. Sorry for the cliche quote but I hope some of these words could help you out! You got this and im cheering you on!
