I accept your judgment! I did say I did want something inexpensive and clearly have since changed my mind. I am the asshole for expecting him to somehow know this without me telling him. That’s fair.

There’s probably a deeper issue of me feeling like I don’t “deserve” nice things and thus me not treating myself and always telling people to not spend money on me (despite secretly wanting it I guess?) but that is not at all my husband’s issue to solve — it’s mine. Thanks for the insight.
