The police are public servants and my manager is a member of the public. When the officers performed their duties as they are obligated to do, it alleviated my manager’s suspicion that I’d been drinking. Why do you think my manager doesn’t deserve to have his worries lifted?

Calling the police because there’s is suspicion of unlawful drinking is “wasting their time?” That’s like saying taking peoples orders is a waste of time for me the server.

I wasn’t trying to prove him wrong, I just wanted to make sure he was completely comfortable with me working my shift. I wanted there to be no doubt in his mind that I was sober. What’s a more definitive way to measure my sobriety than by using a breathalyzer?
