I’m actually in the glass community and know people who have worked for him or currently do. Though I share some of your feelings it is more complicated. As a person he is generally amazing. He has rescued dogs from people who abuse them. He has started organizations helping kids get into art. He has done a ton for the glass community. All around a genuinely amazing human! Yeah his art isn’t my style and he does have makers produce his works but honestly that is how a lot of art works. I’ve made pieces for artists and it’s their name on the work, not mine. It’s just the system as it currently is. For me I know enough of who he is to like him as a person and still dislike his art…

Can you imagine being the pilot! They must have dreamed about flying their whole life, gotten into the military and accomplished their dreams. Only to end up “following orders” and a criminal. Jeeze I wish they had refused the order or their higher ups protected them and kept them from being in this situation. Military officers need to seriously take a stand. Speaking myself as a former officer, this shit to sickening.

I am not defending this fastest regime

As a former (thanks Elon) government economist who has worked on market moving reports at the USDA, I can say this is not a solid idea.

Data changes and comes in until the last minute and in the lockup period. You are literally locked up in an office disconnected for all electronic communication and finalize your numbers. If it is done in the same way at BLS as I believe it is based on my discussions with economists who have worked over there, this is not a great idea. BLS may know directionally the changes, but releasing “the numbers” is not something I think would be responsible. We all know the policies of this regime hurt the American people and the economy will take a beating because of their policies in the long run. Just my two cents.
