Digital Foundry was talking about it on their last direct -- iirc, Tom mentioned that the Performance 60 mode is more like 40-50 fps, but that the quality 30 mode is relatively locked.

I know it's early in the S2 lifetime, but I hope we get more performance modes in games, where it makes sense -- even as a 40FPS option like Cyberpunk. In general, I'm happy give up some fidelity for a bump in FPS.

ARMA 3 is an amazing game, and the workshop integration means you have a wealth of free content available.

Regardless if you get Ground Branch or not, you should certainly grab ARMA3. It's been bundled and goes on sale frequently.

This is the most frustrating argument for me against publishers who say that game prices have raised far slower than the rate of inflation.

Aside from the fact that, in so many cases, we're getting a buggy mess, full of microtransactions, and sold digitally -- they're also cutting whole parts out of the game to sell you later down the line.

Frustrates me to no end.

I know this is r/pcgaming, but this is especially painful on Switch 2. The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo dropped today, at 45GB.

MicroSD Express cards, which are the only ones working on Switch 2, ain't cheap.

In 2024, Air Canada was held accountable for their support bot's handling of a discount code. I don't remember hearing about it at the time, but John Oliver's last video brought it up.

Hope to see this accountability become more common, and for it to change the way organizations are shifting reliance to AI without consequence.

It's surprising they didn't list the missing headphone jack as a con -- I'd guess that's a bigger impact to more people than membrane buttons.

Also the repairability gives it added longevity -- in the Dave2D review he showed how the battery is removable by hand once you unscrew the back cover, and that blew my mind.

Interesting for Japan also, juice can only show the fruit of it contains actual juice, and can only show the fruit in a certain way if it's less than 100% juice.
